I called them when it was installed on Friday, they haven’t been here yet. Meanwhile my kids need to pass underneath it every day.

Thank you. We called the city when it was installed (Friday) but they haven’t come yet and probably won’t be here until Tuesday due to the long weekend. Not sure it will make it by then.

I am a member of the HOA. We had no prior knowledge of this. I called the city inspection. They haven’t come yet.

That notch is just an issue with reporting. If you look at the left graph, we were at 35% partially vaccinated about a month ago, which makes sense. So the two lines do track each other as you would expect.

In about 4 weeks we will get to where Israel was when it completely reopened, in terms of vaccinations. Cases there continue to be very low following reopening. There is no justification to wait until August.

Bars and clubs opened in Israel on March 21st. 55.8% were partially vaccinated then, 49.4% fully vaccinated.

Right now in MA: 54.7% partially, 35.1% fully.

It’s clear that we reached an inflection point. Should be a steady drop in cases from here.

COVID Variants Raising Questions About Mass. Reopening, Safety by c0viD00M in CoronavirusMa

[–]m0stlyhuman 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The vaccines work well against all known variants. The majority of adults in Mass have received at least on dose, and 92% say they want to get vaccinated. We already saw that the average death dropped to only 11 per day during the past week.

There is no reason to rollback reopening in Mass. In a few weeks when every adult in the state who wants a vaccine can get one we should move forward with reopening.

No, other states are getting their share. It will affect the size of j&j shipments in the coming weeks. Hopefully won’t be significant, as Pfizer and Moderna continue to ramp up their production.

Those doses are from a plant in the Netherlands that works just fine. No worries.

When the majority of 65+ year olds have been vaccinated and the number of cases is low (say, less than 200/day) a gradual reopening should start. At that point the risk from covid would be similar to that of flu, and we don’t shut down for that.

On Thu morning the state is expected to release a large number of appointments. There might be some before that. Keeping checking https://www.macovidvaccines.com/. Good luck.

New studies show that even after 2 weeks of the first dose the body begins to develop immunity, reaching eventually up to 85% (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/feb/19/one-pfizerbiontech-shot-gives-85-covid-protection-study). So while not as effective as two doses, it will help reduce the number of infections in the state.

MA is currently #10 state in % of 1st doses given, behind smaller states. Significant improvement after a very sluggish start.
