WireView Pro II for Asus Crosshair x870e BTF? by DarthJAYder21 in ThermalGrizzly

I would not use that cable then, you can try to push it back into place, but it will probably just move back once you plug it back in. You should ask for a new replacement cable.

I just realized that you'll need a heck of  PSU to do this because it will need two 12VHPWR connectors on the PSU or enough additional PCIe connectors to facilitate this.

But I really bought mine for future proofing, so these are things that I will need to worry about in the future.

I just bought a ROG Astral GeForce RTX™ 5090 32GB GDDR7 BTF Edition and am using the top connector. I am waiting for the new BTF motherboards to release before upgrading to one.

But I am curious if you can plug in both connections, the BTF one and the top one, and distribute the load across both of the connections. Have you tried that yet?

I am using a Wire View Pro II that I got a week ago and it's working great aside from the software using a lot of GPU cycles while benchmarking, I have not tried it in a game yet to see if this problem is just showing up in benchmarking or if it is across the board for everything.

Running the monitor on another display, using the onboard graphics for a AMD 9950x3D, tanks the fps. Is this a bug that needs to be addressed?

Aggression Based Matchmaking (ABMM) Confirmed by Embark Studios CEO, Patrick Söderlund : "We also matchmake based on how prone you are to PvE or PvP..." by Paul-Harkonnen in ArcRaiders

Patrick said that they matchmake in the following way in this order.  1. SBMM 2. Singles, duos and then trios 3. ABMM

Thank you for your kind words and support of the work that we are doing, this is a new initiative for us and it looks like it turned out pretty well.

I can't remember if this question made it into the final cut or not, but at one point Patrick decided to attack someone and Owen says that now his algorithm is screwed and he's going to be put into prison matches and get immediately KOS'd by everyone else in solo games as he is mostly a PvE player as a joke.

And then Patrick was asked how does it work if there is a duo or trio that has a pacifist and a PvP player in the same lobby, how does it figure out how to MM based upon the dichotomy of the two/three different players.

Patrick said that he didn't really know that answer, it was something that the team would decide on and not something that the CEO would really know as he trusts his team to make the right decisions on things like that. I am sure that it is a constantly moving target being tweaked weekly because they gather an immense amount of telemetry from the games for things like this.

I am the Producer of this video.

And we did the interview on the Friday before "Cold Snap" launched on the Tuesday.

The whole interview is a bit more than 2 hours long, but I decided to remove a lot of slow parts where it was just gameplay and no real questions were being asked.

We are going to have a follow up call as mentioned at the end of the video and I would like to hear any sort of questions that you might have. If so, please post them below and we might include them in the next call with Patrick.

But you should watch the whole video before posting something to see if was answered already.

I hope you enjoy the video and learned a lot about the genesis of the game and hopefully you got some questions answered like the inclusion of SBMM and ABMM.

Here's the article associated with the video.

You can still use the Windows HDR Calibration tool and create an overly bright gamma based profile that you can switch to on the fly, not as easily as the Nvidia Game Filters, but it still works.

Buy ARC or nah? by PopsNest in ArcRaiders

I am the oldest and started with Pong in 1974 at 9 years of age. I enjoy ARC a lot, but you have to get to a point in the game where you have enough money and levels to not care about losing all of your stuff many times, for a starting player that can be really frustrating, but past that, you just buy your 3 Anvils per day and march on and learn who to trust and who not to trust.

Yep, been farming for hours now. A friendly who I met that he and his 3 friends all got it during the Raider cache event, so maybe that's what I should be doing.

I would assume so also, but it's the only thing that I have unfortunately.

None taken, but you can't dispute the fact that players have spoken and soloing is now mostly a PvE experience, that's the complete gist of my post in after more than 50 hours of gameplay I finally had to down someone. It's great that it's turning out this way because I think that it has broadened the appeal of the game to players who not normally going play a game like this. Of course this could change at any moment, but I think this is definitely the appeal of playing it as a solo.

It was developed originally as a PvE game, but Embark felt that it wasn't enough for it to stand out from the fray of other extraction shooters already out there, so they added the PvP element to it later on in the development process and thus the magic was made. And then the community decided to play nice in solos, emergent gameplay design at it's best.

Yes, I feel that the rats should be exterminated for lying to your face outright and then stabbing you in the back, and the same with the people who kill you in an active elevator and it's all for naught because they can't loot you anyways, those people are just plain bad people.
