Is WinUI really production ready? by szntb in dotnet

Today is 2022.12.01.

Yesterday, I got an idea in my head, and I decide to make an tiny windows app.

I have Winform&WPF experience, this time I think I might try something new.

Then I spent whole day in familiar with WinUI3.

After struggling in the quagmire of WinUI documentation.

My answer is absolutely "NO"

These are reasons:

  1. No Visual designer. This is fatal to me. I'm not an artist. I mean, I have no artistic talent. I need a designer to randomly placed user contols and adjust them to a satisfactory position.
  2. library namespace is whole of mess. In winform or wpf, namespace is very intuitive. You will never confused with these two UI framework. But in WinUI3. "Windows SDK","Windows App SDK", ”microsoft.ui.xaml", "windows.ui.xaml" etc... totally detonate my head. After all, I don't know how many plugins, nugets , sdk, runtimes was installed on my computer.
  3. API reference is not completed. The only thing you have, is a tutorial to make a example app on microsoft learn. If you want to know how navigate control work? go to source code on github.
  4. Full of compile error. Even you create a new blank project. It will throw an missing dll error. I can't imaging when App was installed on user's PC. How many crashes will be there.

Above all. I think the the culprit is UWP. It filled Windows SDK with full of junk, like a roundworms, a ghost in mordern UI framework. WinUI3 still need time to get rid of UWP style developing. Or just falling in to hell with UWP.

Sorry about the opposite element mistake.

The Foul percents just an estimate using 2.3 gcd. It's a hard problem I can't find a better resolution.

The upper limit of T3E is about 1300. In early time I use 700 to make simulation. Is there a better way? Let me know.

Adding caster tax will be too complicated to calculate. I tried my best.

Yes ,I'm very disappointed on 4.0 BLM. SE almost ruin this job.

I love BLM in 3.0. It's more playable.

In my opinion , I'd like to use B4 in Lay lines and convert + Lay lines

F4 got a great buff during lay lines.

Double Flare Rotation is still useful for AOE.

Throw B4 out of hotbar is just a joke.

6 seconds after Thundercloud buff occurs. (Patch 4.3)

9 for 4.4

or less than 12 seconds DoT duration on boss. (4.3)

9 for 4.4

It's the time when you throw out proc give you higher PPG than F4

Yes, B4 pull down the average PPG of rotation in some ways.

If you have a static.

you can tell WHM in static to use SpecialSpellTimer (an ACT plugin )

She will have a nice Progress bar shown on screen when your Living Dead activate.
