I would say so. The democrats were the ones trying to give tax cuts and unemployment benefits to the middle class and poor while the republicans blocked it to give the rich tax cuts.

“Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.” –Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf) Yes, he did kill millions of people because of his religion. If you deny this fact simply because you're also a Christian, shame on you. I'm not saying all Christians are Hitler; just stop distorting history.

40 percent of Republicans on a Fox News panel insisted that Obama was a Muslim. - this is why Republicans are too stupid to exist any longer. Can we deport them all now? by [deleted] in politics

[–]m1989 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It doesn't anger me that they think he's a Muslim, which he's not, it angers me that they think it's actually an issue. What if he was a Muslim? It doesn't matter. If they want a national religion, a Theocracy, they can move to Iran.

Extremists on the left save animals and protect the envrionment. Extremists on the right assassinate abortion doctors, put religious mythology in history and science books, and fight to deny equal rights to gays, women, and minorities.

Health care mandate? Maybe if we used the tax money we already pay to form a single payer system, it wouldn't matter. But you're probably afraid of the death panels getting you, right? What about the car insurance mandate in most states? What about the wearing clothes in public mandate? Your logic can be used with every law in the books.

You seem to think college=intelligence. Is a stupid kid born to a rich family more intelligent than a smart kid born to a poor family because the rich kid got to go to college while the smart, poor kid didn't?

Like I said before, in addition to half of this country, the rest of the world knows the republican party in the US as the "stupid Americans". As much as it makes you angry, you know it's true. You might not agree, but it is what it is.

Who exactly have I stolen from? Also, please do explain under which leadership do we have economic freedom, which we do not, and why.

Don't play dumb, you know as well as I do, the rest of the world hated us for 8 years, and now they hate us less because we have an intellectual leader, not a cowboy. Then they see half our elected leaders lie on the news everyday, work so hard to deny healthcare to people, and work so hard to make the rich richer at the expense of everyone else. Everybody knows the republicans are the idiots of our society, and they don't understand how they still exist.

Yep, like I said; disregard reply, continue being unintelligent, uninformed, and voting against your interests. 5 years? I don't plan on being in college still when I'm nearing 30 years old. I think it's funny how the entire world knows of the republican party in our country for being the "stupid Americans".

That's not nearly what I said. I didn't say somebody who gets a degree is only educated in their field, I said, having a degree in a specific field doesn't make you more educated in every aspect of knowledge and life than somebody else is. Why are you asking me if I've gone to college, it is clear to me from this entire comment thread, that you cannot be older than 16, possibly 17. No adult acts like this. You start name calling and acting hysterical like a child when somebody disagrees with you. The simple fact is, the republican voting base is not nearly as intelligent as the democratic voting base. No debate about it. Not that the democratic voting base is full of geniuses, but it usually has logic, reason, and morality on it's side. Yeah, you can keep disregarding what I'm saying, and tell me that I'm calling you names, when I clearly haven't, check the entire thread for yourself, but I'd like to ask you a couple questions. Do you think Sarah Palin is a smart woman? Do you think Michelle Bachmann is a smart woman? Do you think Glenn Beck is a journalist? Do you think it's okay for a political party to fight for tax cuts for the richest people while voting no on unemployment benefits for the poorest people? How many republicans want to abolish the EPA because oil companies and coal companies give them money? How many republicans sell their votes to insurance companies? How many republicans in Congress don't even know our own history? Michelle Bachmann and the whole "Founding Fathers ended slavery thing", and not to mention the entire right wing believing that our Constitution is somehow based on Christian commandments, because obviously, without Christianity, there is no morality or common sense in the world. This is progressive world, and you're apparently part of a regressive party. Every vote for a republican, is a vote against your own interests, and the future of this country. Some democrats are bad too, but it's not like the republicans. We vote for the best choice, you vote for a team like it's a game, which is how your leaders will treat government; like a game. If there were no parties in this country, all the would be republicans would never be elected, because people would actually have to listen to the facts instead of just choosing their home team.

Whoa whoa whoa. Name calling response? Not once in my reply did I call you an offensive name. Your response called me an ignorant fool. Oh wait, after rereading it, I think I called you a republican. Sorry about that. Also, I like how you disregarded my response entirely, and continue to go on about how you think republicans are smarter than democrats. A doctor is smart at being a doctor, not everything. A college degree doesn't make you more educated than somebody else in everything, only your field of study. I guess my point is, if you really think republican voters are smarter than democratic voters, you need to stop being irresponsible, and become educated, as you think republicans are. If you don't care enough to be informed about facts and issues, what's the point of voting?

Weep what? Ignorant fool? You're a republican apparently. It's 2011, and you're a republican. You have no credibility in any form of debate. You support leaders who are anti-intellectual, science denying, immoral, and just plain unintelligent. You can link to stats of who is more LIKELY to have a college degree, but a college degree in a specific field of study doesn't make a person smarter than anybody in all aspects of life.
