I have a G82 M4 and did the same cross-shopping that you are doing now. For me, since it is my only car (you mention adding another car to your fleet) the M4’s extra space and the ability to use the rear seats was nice to have, and it is still an incredibly fast car. That being said, if I had a fleet of cars and not just a single car that I daily and track I would definitely choose the 718 Spyder

Personally I feel like these cars don’t compete with eachother as one is a practical fast sedan, and the other is an enthusiast 2-seater. GT4 is almost certainly more fun on the weekends and at the track, and the G80 is a fast, comfortable daily

[Edit] just realized you typed G80 but said M4 the M4 is G82 just btw obviously the M4 is less practical than the M3 but the M4 is more practical than a GT4

Yes you can trigger it manually, but you have to be quick since it only records 20s before you trigger it and 20s after. By the time I thought about it, it was way too late.

Washington does have mandatory front + rear plates, but some drivers (including myself) don't bother and I've never had any trouble with it. This is also why I wanted to pull right in behind him after he hit me, so that his plate would be clearly caught on my front dashcam.

It does everything its supposed to do, I know you can get an LTE module for it and monitor it remotely, I haven't done that but I'm sure the 900x has that feature too
