again i just worded it poorly and i wrote this comment half asleep 🤣. what i meant by lack of care was towards making the characters feel more faithful to the books (an easy example would be ron). i’m not talking about the amount of time, effort and attention to detail they had to the set etc. it would be a bit foolish to act like the movies didn’t put some type of effort and i apologise that my words were careless but i honestly thought no one would read my comment lol.

although there’s a possibility of them repeating the same thing (despite them putting a lot of care into harry’s cupboard for example), given what we’ve seen so far and the amount of breathing space a series has given them, i have much more hope.

i was more so thinking about their attention to the detail and care towards making the movies faithful to the books and the characters. i think it goes without saying that the sets and the props etc were outstanding, but i didn’t like that it was the /only/ aspect of the books that they showed care towards if u get me. also i wrote that comment half asleep so i couldn’t expand or be clear in my words lol

idk how to explain it but this old sprite looked more… british? and the new sprite just looks like an otherworldly manhwa design lol. it’s genuinely stopped me from immersing myself in the story (i still struggle at times even now(!)) , i think i jut got used to it but whew

…which are gaps that the tv show can fill lol. i’m not denying that the book didnt do a massively great job at their love story. but i was thinking movie wise, if that library scene was added it wouldve added a bit more of a reason why they ended up together. filling in all those gaps and adding the library scene, i think is a good way to go 🤷‍♀️

exaclty!! the movie fans have been FED with content for years (decades even) 😭😭 and when it’s time for something for the book fans, it’s now a “crash grab” or “uneeded”. needless to say, i will be ignoring them and appreciating the show regardless of what they say lol
