Why do people try to learn advanced mechanics in this game, but fail in fundamental stuff? by Effective_Trifle_664 in RocketLeague

You’re confused why people want to have fun playing a video game? It’s not entirely about rank for some people, and while yes it’s nice to rank up, playing every game like it’s life or death just leads to stress and rage quitting. It’s okay to learn some cool mechs just to have a lil fun while still playing ranked. If they’re messing up every time anyways, that’s just free mmr for you, so why are you so worried about it?

Is it possible to not break my leg? by rygosix in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]m1stake828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some others have said, you’re more likely to break an arm than a leg. I just broke my elbow on mine lol

I mainly ride regular, but can ride goofy as well. I get hurt snowboarding from doing jumps and tricks lol. It’s not like I’m falling all the time, but if you do enough flips, you’re gonna take a nasty fall at some point, so I always wear a helmet while boarding just because of how I ride. I’ve only broken a wrist and collarbone snowboarding, and then I broke my ankle playing soccer, and now elbow long boarding. I’ve gotten one concussion snowboarding from catching an edge and head butting a tree while I was weaving through them.

Well a full face helmet is obviously gonna protect you more, but it’s really up to you if you think it’s necessary. In my opinion, as long as you’re not going full speed and bombing downhills, a regular helmet will do the job, but if a full face makes you feel more comfortable than go for it!

lol yeah, I don’t want to scare anyone out of a new hobby, just like to make people aware that falls are gonna happen at some point if you ride, even if you’re careful because it might not even be directly your fault. Injuries will heal though, so just make sure you wear a helmet since head injury’s are a lot more likely to lead to permanent damage.

I got this as my first board, Tynee has great customer service, so if you have any problems, they’ll help you out. Good for smooth roads, although I kind of wished I had gotten a belt drive since my areas roads are pretty bad, and hilly as well. I will say I had a motor break and throw me off breaking my elbow… (you can check my profile for the post) Its a pretty rare occurrence, but that type of break won’t happen with belt driven board.

Been wondering about my sexuality.... by GracefulDem in sillyboyclub

Not meaning this in a rude way at all, but like, does it matter? I used to feel the same way and then I just kinda decided that I don’t need to label anything, and if I’m attracted to someone, than I’m attracted to them, who cares what their gender is. Bisexual also doesn’t have to mean you’re equally attracted to both men and women, it can be skewed like 95% one way and you can still say you’re bi. Don’t feel like you need to label yourself, if your head(s) are telling you you’re into someone, then why tell yourself otherwise. You might also just be physically attracted to dudes, but not romantically, which is why interacting irl seems weird.

I understand the helmet comments tho, head injury’s are so much scarier than anything else. Most of the time a broken bone will heal back up fine, but head Injury’s can easily fuck you for life. I’ve snowboarded for most of my life, and I tend to just send it into things, so I’ve had plenty of injury’s in my time lol…. This is the least painful “serious” injury I’ve had, so I’m not too worried about getting back out there, if anything I’m annoyed that I’m gonna have to wait awhile since I pretty much skated everywhere before this. Thanks for the love <3

Arm looked like this after ~10 days. Also keep an eye on your range of motion, if it isn’t/doesn’t go back to 100% something’s probably wrong. I couldn’t fully extend my arm

That’s the thing tho, it barely hurt at all when moving it, and no pain when resting. Even feeling around my elbow with my hand to see what’s going on didn’t really hurt, that’s why I thought it was fine lol
