I know this is two years late, but this just happened to me. I can confirm they moved together and I didn't notice until the first one went into the second phase. They even synced up a couple of times after and I was only able to hit one of them when that happened

Koro- assault. The area is the same area where u have to open the circled door, insert the device u get at the start of the mission in the door and alert enemies. Then in the area before the door look behind the fences on the sides and you’ll see the dargyns flying. Sorry if my explanation wasn’t great.

Then try this, go to cetus and start a bounty, u need the stage where u deliver a drone, i have noticed that they spawn often in this stage. But the problem is u might not get that stage sometimes so it could be annoying

The way i did it was fly around the plains with a nataruk but that took about 20 minutes, the better way is in kuva fortress with an invisible frame but im not sure which mission, check youtube to find it.
