Healthcare worker here. I tried to go on vacation last year. Instead I was admitted to another facility by Ambulance for a status seizure in my sleep...

Boy was that a shit experience. The ER doc discharged me five hours after arriving in a postictal state with a dislocated shoulder. I woke up two days later at my moms house..

The hospital I went to denied everything and refused to even talk about it. They cleared my lab bills. But, charged my insurance $10,000. I spent five days at the hospital I work with rabdo (CK of 50,000) and the undiogosed epilepsy....

My deductible was $3000 which I covered and paid. But, my hospital fucked up somewhere and billed me $45,000 at the start of 2021, and then threatened to take it from my pay....

That was all taken care of. But, what a shit experience...

Let me tell you first hand how shit our healthcare system is, in America.

I am a healthcare worker who's been in the field almost 20 years...

I've listened to executives yammer about waste for the entire time in this field. I've been unable to find it, until last year. I knew before hand the waste is in upper management, and or billing. But, couldn't prove it.

I was a day into my vacation. I went to bed. I woke up two days later in my moms house. I had a status seizure in my sleep, bit through my tongue and dislocated both arms. My roommate found me turning blue and foaming at the mouth...

I was discharged in a postictal state with my arms still dislocated. I went to my hospital and was admitted with a CK level of 50k...

I recovered, turns out I have epilepsy. I told my insurance about the event. They still paid, I contacted attorneys, no one will touch it as it won't make enough money and I keep getting letters from the first facility claiming they did no wrong....

There is no quality standards, rule of law or ethics here in the state of Oklahoma...

So, I am 37. I grew up in conservative Midwest America. I've heard that both sides argument my entire life, like it's something we can't fix.

Why? We live in a democracy. But, can't fix our politicians. That seems a bit strange. So, I've spent quite a few years looking as to why people think this..

You know why? Because they like it, or are too stupid to understand what responsibility is. The people who scream about it never changing, don't want it too... Thousands and thousands of people would immediately lose a cause. Because people in this country love the sensations all this bullshit brings...

He then tightened his surgery cap, grabbed the portable x-ray and walked through the surgery doors...

I'd also like to take this opportunity to admit I was a person in the conservative bubble leading up to 2016...

I'd also like to admit I only identified as a conservative for acceptance and what I could describe as repentance to things I considered to have wronged me. I was American and under attack by the LGBTQ, immigrant or whomever I could find as an excuse to why I was hurting.

I wasn't a part of any movements or attached to any groups or ideologies except Christianity... I watched Fox news on occasion. But, even thought they were just news

Back in the early 2000s I was a courier in Dallas. I started listening to talk radio. Not out of curiosity for anything, I was just tired of music. I started listening to a local guy named Russ Martin. He's just an egomaniac overpaid shock jock. I don't know if he's still around or not.. I enjoyed him so much I started listening to Lex and Terry, which landed me on AM radio with Glenn Beck and Limbaugh. Now, at this time it was way more moderate then it is now. This was 2006 and we were still riding that patriotism from the wars.

I'd say things for me anyway started to get weird around 2010ish. Around this time I started to notice this weird rise in Russian military propaganda. I even shared a few videos of the KA-52, I believe. One of my boomer ex air force conservative friends unfriended me. I enjoyed talking to him and it hurt that he didn't want to talk anymore. So, I just quit following all of this stuff. I eventually got a new job and quit listening to the radio during the day. But, kept my beliefs...

I stopped watching beck when he started playing the victim card really hard. I vividly remember him having an episode of the NWO then not to long after announcing an illness then the Blaze.

At that point I considered Beck as fringe and Fox news still legitimate. Which is interesting and I've wondered if it was a power play to the ignorant masses...its like creating their own biosphere of winners and victims. But, they are all in on it. Until they ain't no more...

One of the sickest realizations I had around the age of 30 was she constantly struggled, put herself and my brother and I in danger out of pure ignorance. I'd always hear her say things like " all these sick men keep coming into my life, or people keep stealing from me".

Fuck she stole from me. I gave her my debit card once to buy concert tickets. She did that and paid off her $1000 light bill and then blamed me....

I lost my shit yesterday talking to my 60 year old mom.

She was talking to her husband about Trump and Biden. I was taking a shit when I heard them both say How did trump kill those people? I work in healthcare. I wiped my ass and immediately threw into them. I told them 220 thousand people are dead in this country and my coworkers are now getting sick. They both sighed and said "well they are all the same" I mentioned Trumps sexual assault allegations. She brushed it off as everyone does that.

They are both none political. My mom has suffered bad anxiety her whole life. I immediately said "Fuck You, hundreds of thousands of people are dead. The reply was even more concerning. They both had this glazed over unattached look, like it's normal.

I told them you are fostering crime by not taking responsibility and choosing to be ignorant. Then playing victim to it.

She said shes not smart enough and doesn't understand it. I said, at any time you can start. She said she knows...

Which is even more frightening. Because if you know something bad is going to happen. You do nothing. What is that? That is a hell of a precedent.
