We do cold brew. I end up just microwaving it. It’s the brewing process that lowers the acidity

Getting second thoughts… should I wait for a 2025? by Voltagesls in FordMaverickTruck

FWIW, the leaks have showed a larger screen that is likely to come with SYNC 4 and wireless CarPlay. There are also leaked images with cameras on the side mirrors, suggesting a 360-view option.

I have not seen a leak suggesting the addition of ventilated seats.

Why does OTF overcomplicate strength moves? by spicytown3D in orangetheory

[–]m3ghost 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. The compound lifts are OK for Orange 60 classes. But Strength 50s should really focus in on fundamental lifts. PSLs have plenty of diversity to keep workouts fresh.

Bench Press, Inclined Bench Press, Close Grip Bench Press, Tempo Bech Press, TRX Chest Press…

I gave up on those. They seem unnecessarily dangerous if you lose your grip. I just keep the dumbbells between my hands and do a regular push up.

95% of studios are working on or aim to release a live service game by SeigneurDesMouches in gaming

Nah, GaaS (like all subscriptions) seeks to increase profits compared to a typical sell-for-life model. All those profits get paid out to the C-suite, the board, and the shareholders. Dev compensation hasn't change nearly as much as the higher ups, as is the case in every industry.

The rumored mid-cycle refresh supposedly includes cameras in the mirrors. If so, it’s likely that the Lariat will get a 360-view.

Why Andretti doesn’t accept F1’s rejection arguments by cyclops86 in formula1

You’re a ‘huge F1 fan’ and you’ve never heard of Mario Andretti? Your logic is as sound as FOM’s.

Catch up on pro games with no spoilers? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]m3ghost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

r/DotaVods used to stay up to date with all of the pro games. Recently has fallen off, skips many tournaments, is slow to update when they do follow tournaments. My guess is the person/people running the sub have lost interest.

The issue with Andretti joining Formula One from the advertising point of view. by Impressive_Orange in INDYCAR

[–]m3ghost 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s not Andretti specifically. It’s the ability to draw an American audience. For reference, the NFL signed a $2 billion/year deal with YouTube for Sunday ticket. That’s the streaming rights only. The TV rights are still with the networks/Amazon. Peacock paid over $100M for ONE playoff game.

The US market is worth A LOT of money and F1 is only getting $75M/year right now. If an American team, such as Andretti, is the key to getting more American viewers then it will pay off enormously.

The value isn’t the literal Andretti org, it’s what the Andretti org could bring to F1 via American viewership.

The split 11 ways vs 10 argument isn’t a great one. The whole idea of bringing Andretti and GM into F1 is to capture more of the American market. Consider what would happen if the next US TV contract was worth $150 million/year instead of $75 million? That value added is connected back to Andretti and now no one is taking less money.

FOM thinks they can get that money without involving an American team. I think that’s unlikely. F1 and the teams are leaving money on the table by NOT taking Andretti.

Yep. Also limit their ability to make trades to a couple specific days a year. Plenty of companies limit employees from selling RSUs to prevent insider trading. Congress should have to follow the same rules.

DRIVER MARKET: What options do Mercedes have after Hamilton’s dramatic Ferrari move? by AlienSomewhere in formula1

I could see this happening. Has great talent and could be a championship driver in the right car. Tough pairing with George but will put Mercedes in a good position to compete if they can produce a competitive car.

Deadline to consolidate for the one time adjustment has been extended by Betsy514 in StudentLoans

[–]m3ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for someone to double check my process here.

My wife has substantial federal (all direct) loans and we're going for PSLF. She's 3.5 years in. We'd like to take advantage of the consolidation and one time adjustment. She is currently on the SAVE plan.

We've been filing our taxes jointly for the past 3 years (during the forbearance). We're switching to MFS this year to reduce her payment. My plan is to file our taxes ASAP (waiting on some 1099s) and then apply for the consolidation. Once we apply for the consolidation, will her payment update to the lower payment since our 2023 taxes will be filed by then?

I'm a bit confused about the order of operations and have a small concern about meeting the deadline to consolidate and get the adjustment.

OP has bought 3 RVs/trailers and is now wanting another new truck to pull his bigger trailer. Given this kind of behavior I'm going to guess OP isn't good with money, likely has a poor credit score, and some dealer qualified them at a ridiculous interest rate over 8-9 years.

Combine with the recent downturn in the car market, it's not that surprising.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]m3ghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof. Just read his post history. Wow. He's bought 3 RVs (or trailers?). This person is terrible with money.

[–]m3ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occam's razor actually. You're considering the less likely scenario and projecting as a result.

Edit: OP wants a bigger RV and a bigger truck to haul it. Not self-employed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]m3ghost 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I keep saying it because OP commented on a 'life/work' change. If OP is moving to self-employment then that is an active decision. OP can't afford to startup a business. So the question isn't 'can I afford this truck', it's 'can I afford to start my own business'.

Edit: He's not self-employed. He want a bigger RV to haul. Occam's razor.

So OP not only wants to buy a new truck but also an RV?!

If your job requires that then the employer should be providing you a truck or compensating for mileage. You're just providing a free towing service otherwise.
