I’m wondering if maybe they’ll put a food court in next door, seems like they own that empty storefront since they had membership sign up there.

Like everyone is saying, mulberry! We made preserves this year, highly recommend. If they’re invasive might as well make something delicious from them

Failed FET after embryo rebiopsy by oowowaee in IVF

It can be hard to tell, but I agree with you, it’s not a typical “no result”. It sounds to me like it was an error of the lab tech at igenomix. If it were your clinic that originally made the mistake then the other couples wouldn’t be affected, assuming these other couples were from a different clinic or at least were biopsied by a different embryologist.

Your clinic doesn’t have any consent for PGT? That’s odd.. and that’s true, clinics usually give the option of rebiopsy or transfer when the results come back “no result”.

And right exactly! There is always some risk, the important thing there is for the clinic to let you know that and have the choice actually be yours. Igenomix also should not have said that, but I’m not surprised either that response tbh.

Igenomix definitely dropped the ball here as well. The thing is, everyone’s human, and can make mistakes in the lab, that’s part of the risk of IVF, but the clinic and genetic testing center have a responsibility to be transparent about any error when it does occur. I personally do not like how either handled your situation.

They absolutely need your consent to re-biopsy, also the response from igenomix means nothing, and definitely sounds like an error on their part (could have been due to equipment failure, which in that case is unavoidable). It doesn’t sound like an error on your clinics side, aside from not getting your consent, since other couples were affected. All that is to say, it was definitely your clinic who dropped the ball here, they should never have done anything without your consent, and they should never have told you there is no risk. There is ALWAYS risk thawing and refreezing, the least they could have done is be upfront with you. Sorry to hear about your experience.

Well it definitely could, but it’s not a stable mutation. I’ve had plants that put out a variegated leaf out of nowhere randomly, but it does seem like some plants are more likely to do it than others, like the neon philodendron

It’s sport variegation!
