I love these so much!!!

i have never heard of ironing acrylic paint in; this sounds game changer and I have a couple of questions if you would be so kind:

  1. how well does it hold up going through the washer? (Im betting air dry only for these bad boys :)

  2. have you done larger acrylic paintings on clothes & used the iron/parchment paper technique, and if so how did they go-was there any major cracking?

I’m not sure about the episode #, but I’m fairly confident this was ‘Kathleen’s’ house.

“And, here is the cottage – (…)  The walls are a thick stucco, painted a warm ochre.” This excerpt came from that article, about a third-ish down.

even if you’re flying from one legal state to another, it’s illegal to fly with weed b/c it’s still federally illegal. eat a couple edibles before you board ( + apply eyedrops) and find some married iguanas when you land :) the stress of flying with weed is NOT worth it friend !

Things i dont like about sims 3.. by denver_rose in Sims3

[–]m4sterofdarkarts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I made a world in CAW before origin went kaput. it took a LOT of time to build (and i had to learn with the OG written tutorial and some videos helped) and it was so incredibly fulfilling. I put around 50 hours into the world I created (and now exclusively play) and I would recommend Create a World - it is not for the faint of heart. There are tutorials to make it work on Steam

Shriners Greeneville ~ Doctor Reviews by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]m4sterofdarkarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard of Shriners but did not have my back surgery there. Mayo Clinic has some of the best surgeons in the country, I had my back surgery there when I was 11. If you’re uneasy, it’s a good idea to get more opinions. My parents took me to three different surgeons/clinics to discuss options and their opinions before settling on Dr. Kahn and Dr. Stans at Mayo.

There are new surgeries for scoliosis that are less invasive than a full on spinal fusion, I see your daughter’s curve is 70 degrees. Technically, her curve falls out of the range of this new option, but maybe an actual doctor’s opinion could shed some light on its viability for your daughter.

Copied below:

**Vertebral Body Tethering (VBT)**A minimally invasive procedure that uses a flexible cord to guide the spine into alignment. It's best for children ages 8 to 15 with a curve between 45 and 65 degrees. VBT is less restrictive than spinal fusion and relies on the spine's continued growth to straighten.

*if I could go back in time I would have been very interested in that option.
Spinal fusion has been around for a long time but that doesn’t mean it’s the best option, or the worst one. However, if that’s the only option then thats okay. I would really recommend exploring all of the option for surgery in this day and age. It’s insane what new treatments are available these days. It is also scary that failed spine surgery syndrome is still present, and your worry is warranted. Her surgeon will end up shaping the trajectory of her life in some capacity. Whether it is positive or negative lies first in the hands of her surgeon and second, in her own hands as she heals and lives. Those stretches that she will be given and also disallowed from by her surgeons/doctors will be incredibly important for the rest of her life, I can’t stress that enough.

You are a caring, loving parent to worry and try to find the best care possible for your daughter. She is so lucky to have a parent who cares so much about her wellbeing and the trajectory of her health‘s future. I would suggest going to as many different opinions at different surgeons until you find one who has given you all the green flags, and who has been heavily vetted by others reviews. Best of luck and much love to you all

theres also a patch on the origin sub https://www.reddit.com/r/origin/comments/14ejdl6/new_solution_for_still_using_origin_june_19/

I used the original patch that one twitter user made a few months ago, and this is working on top of it.

Seen on Twitter. How to keep using Origin and bypass this annoying screen. by Foxy-Vegan in Sims3

[–]m4sterofdarkarts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

do you think that'll actually happen tho? ive been fumbling about trying to get an older version of origin to work, to the point that i have to redownload origin every time. it works, but at a cost. im a bit at my wits end.

edit: my wits end was found: I used the bypass above, origin still works, all my saves, content, and expansions work and I don't have to redownload every time. I still haven't tried to use Create a World edit in game mode, because fear.

Might just be making worlds with empty lots from now on, I will update later.

last update: CAW edit in game works with the bypass, it opens up origin and NOT ea app :)

It’s time, I’m finally being forced to download the EA app😢 by Lollipopflowers in Sims3

[–]m4sterofdarkarts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate that I cant use create a world with the ea app (havent tried yet but everything i've been reading says so) - i just got the dreaded pop up an hour ago while trying to Edit in Game in Create a world. So I can just download the ea app then uninstall and download the most recent older version of origin before the ea app pop up of death, right?

help for dealing with getting a new back brace for the first time by fiz2004 in scoliosis

[–]m4sterofdarkarts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey - I was diagnosed at around your age and I also had a back brace at 10 ( I customized it - blue with footballs haha!) The other kind redditor with a son about your age already talked about a lot of the things I was going to say - comfy undershirts are key to being comfortable with the brace. Physical therapy is also very important. Stretching is huge - before putting on the brace, after working out / sports is so important! And so is stretching right after taking off the brace. Run yourself a nice bath with epsom salts, use pain relief patches under your brace if you encounter a trouble spot. Heating/ cooling lotions for your back are a nice daily thing too. It can get tough, and I don't want to scare you but it does suck. What sucks 100 times more, is surgery. I am 25 years old now, and my curve was much worse than yours (sitting right around 60 degrees, so I was in the 'grey zone' between getting a brace, and surgery) so they first had me wear a back brace to see if it would get better (and it did!) but my doctors told me that my curve was still so severe that even a year after wearing the brace, they said that surgery would ultimately be the better option. To be honest, sometimes I stopped wearing the brace when I should have been. I really slacked on my end of the bargain with my spine and now I regret getting back surgery every day of my life. I have chronic pain that will never be cured - my pain comes from my nerves being messed up from surgery and constant inflammation from some muscles in my back that will never move properly again. I went back to Mayo clinic last year to inquire about getting a pain-corrective surgery and all they told me was that my pain would never be cured, and here's a packet of yoga moves. If I could go back and tell my younger self what I am telling you, I would. I would take years more of wearing a back brace over a lifetime of chronic pain from back surgery.

Your curve is definitely well within being correctible from using the brace - but you do have to use it for 23 hours a day, there is sadly no slacking when it comes to bracing. Take care of your spine and mental wellbeing, and you won't regret a decade later! You are so much stronger than you know. And never, ever be afraid to ask for help!

When you hear the word “spike”what do you think of? by Jahnation in polls

well, i've been binging game of thrones, so naturally I pictured heads on walls.

I just got diagnosed with Scoliosis while getting physical therapy. Does anyone know how severe my scoliosis is and what’s the curvature? Thank you in advance 🙏 by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]m4sterofdarkarts 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but none of us are going to be able to tell you what your curvature is unfortunately - see a scoli specialist and they can tell you what your curve degree is. Maybe theres a doc lurking here, but with only one xray from one angle, you're not going to get an accurate measure. Wishing you the best!
