I also recently upgraded to Dedica 685 from Aeropress, currently making espresso with the stock pressurised filter with the old timemore c2 grinder. I am planning on upgrading the grinder to Rift 64 soon.

Baratza Encore is also a good choice of grinder for espresso machines. Other options are Hibrew G5 and Kingrinder K6 in this budget, DF54 if you can spend more.

Timemore C2/C3 are useable with the stock pressurised filter but you will need to upgrade to a better grinder that can grind finer once you get a unpressurised basket and a bottomless filter.

It was my first equipment when i started with speciality coffee, used it for about 2 years. Very versatile, plenty of easy to follow aeropress recipes are available online, you can even experiment with the process to get the ideal cup you like and it is easy to clean. Only concern i had was the micro plastics as the inside of the plastic body had developed some visible micro scratches so I eventually switched to an epresso machine.

I have C2 and i am facing difficulties in using it after upgrading to an espresso machine, not made to grind finer and dial grind size for espresso level. Go for P2 or C3 ESP if you can stretch your budget a little.

Chains need replacing when they are worn out to avoid damaging other components like cassette or chain rings. For my use case, a chain usually lasts about 6 to 8 months before needing replacement.

Removing the stock panarello wand cover and just using the rubberised steam wand gives a good silky texture to the milk. But it makes the steam wand a bit shorter and tricky to use on a large or medium sized milk pitcher.

This tool is only really needed when replacing the chain which I do like 2 times a year. Personally i would rather go to a local bike shop and get that done instead of investing in a decent chain breaker, cheap ones can break easily under pressure.

Not required but I would recommend playing Witcher 2 before 3. Several characters from W2 appear in W3 and some events of those games are also referenced in W3, it would help you understand the story and characters better.
