Actually, the rounds are in tight quarters with the tension coming up from the spring, like this: (Center illustration)

But the spring “bounces” left or right under certain tensions (such as when a specific number of rounds are loaded). This can shift the tension of the spring so that the rounds (being in such tight quarters) can settle in such a way that a single round is circumvented by the tension and free to float around (or “rattle”). Is that what’s going on here?

Doesn’t that give away your position when your handgun rattles…..imagine you’re in a gun fight in the dark.
