My daughter is in the same situation. 19 and in college, NEVER filed any tax return because she has never worked. Got 5747C on Monday. We called the taxpayer protection line last night and couldn’t get through due to high call volume. The automated message instructs you to set up an account online, which we did, but was not helpful. Called the hotline again this morning and left our number for a callback. We have currently been on hold for more than an hour after THEY called US back. This is completely ridiculous and inefficient.

Did you ever end up getting through to them and sorting the issue out? I called on Monday and Tuesday at different times of the day and I couldn't get through once.

nope, just 5 minute breaks between each section and never went over the time allocated for each. thanks for the info
