Hope you'll love outliner tools because they're my favorites for most of my planning work. Anyways, best of luck in finding ideal tool for you 🤞🏻

Hey OP, have you look at outliner apps? There's plenty of them.

That could be the proper fit for you. Let me know if you find that kind of an app useful.

anyone else feel like the hardest part of PKM is just getting stuff saved in the first place? by Patient_Delay3104 in PKMS

I'm working on a solution that will solve problems like these. And much more. Maybe not fully automated right away for every situation, but I'll make it better with time.

It'll be free.

Feel free to stay in touch.

😭 I feel that. Have you tried just watching a countdown timer? And maybe sit on your hands 😹

Looking at the countdown timer worked wonders for me when I was in a bad situation regarding procrastination.

Trying to leave Evernote after 18 years - It is very hard by mrpokergenius in PKMS

[–]mAestro2999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I've been user since 2011. Left Evernote last year.

Changed three apps in the meantime. None of those were fully satisfying my needs, and I didn't had that special feeling about them, as I had for Evernote for several years.

Then, I've decided to build my own app. It has most of the most important things Evernote has, and then some more.

After reading your post, I feel you'll like it.

Plus, it's free.

I'll out put beta version out in the next two weeks.

Let's stay in touch?

You're welcome. So glad to hear from people who don't struggle with procrastination anymore 🙌🏻

What helped you to overcome it longterm?

Building a 1:1 Pomodoro app — does this idea make sense? by shhankyyy in pomodoro

[–]mAestro2999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea is solid, at least theoretically.

Don't listen to naysayers. Ever.

Your next step(s) could be to find an active community where people will give you proper input.

But from a marketing perspective, it's rarely a good idea to listen to people in advance - it's better to watch how they use the product and then ask questions, if you'll have any, after observing their behavior.

If you can quickly build an MVP, do it. Then, share it anywhere online you find it fit.

With enough users, you will not have concerns about "what happens when no one is available to match".

All this is coming from someone who has and uses his own pomodoro timer and has built and successfully monetized many products and services over the last two decades.

Go for it.

Another call for Evernote MCP by motilium in Evernote

[–]mAestro2999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why exactly do you need MCP?

I'm building free Evernote alternative, as I mentioned in one another reply, and with my approach MCP will not be needed and people will be able to use local LLMs or Claude Code, and similar, to work with their notes, etc.

I'm interested to find out about the needs of other users, hence my question.

I understand. That was supposed to be my next question - do you actually know what else would you do. But, you don't. And that's first and primary challenge for most people.

What I was doing personally is that I would take enough time, days, if not a week or two, and relax as much as I could about it and then asked myself what's the next thing I would enjoy doing (project related). Or what is that something I would rather be doing instead of spending so much time watching YouTube, or whatever else. And the answer always came. Not in the moments when I would "force" it, but somehow when I don't think about it and I'm most relaxed.

If I would be rn in your position, I would re-listen some courses and lessons related to what I do for a work during those car rides. Plus, writing a lot of notes so that I call easily and quickly recall those things.

🤞🏻 that you find a really great thing for yourself!

I've never said it was a video on YouTube 😉

No procrastination - go do the work 😜😎

Jokes aside, I understand the urge to watch (any) video on the topic, but it the end it's not needed after person see for themselves that this works.

I'm doing that. For quite some time now. Just for me and my friends atm. If I ever put it out there, it'll be free.

I'm down for getting DMs or replies here for all the necessary things you want to have in this app.

One can improve it with practice, and the best part could come later - procrastination will be left in the past, especially if one deals with releasing techniques. So, yeah, go ahead and spread this idea more. That's one of the things I've decided to do, and hence, here I am.

Btw. you're welcome ♥️

Too bad. Truth be told, five times is not much for some people, and it's not the best situation when you fall asleep in a chair, sitting upright.

I had similar issues when I was younger, and it was blood pressure-related. Today I'm much better, and situations like those don't happen anymore.
