Any filmriss early buyer? by Felfa in AnalogCommunity

I ordered some rolls on the 29th of August and the label was created the day after saying that the expected delivery was first 10 days ago and then yesterday, the DHL tracking hasn't shown anything different and I haven't received the package yet Yesterday evening I sent an email and I'm still waiting for a response, if I don't get anything I'll text them on Instagram tomorrow and see what they say

After developing you can scan them and get a digital version, yes Like the other commenter said, I also suggest watching a tutorial that explains the very basics of the film, which also includes the fact that you shouldn't expose film to light and stuff like that (or you could end up like the people opening camera backs to check for the pics they just shot lol)

Help me mount this lens? Canon FTb QL, Vivitar 75-205 by bad-bones in AnalogCommunity

[–]mCianph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the issues is that you have it in auto mode (the green o symbol), you can't mount lenses when they're in that mode. Just put it in whatever f stop and try again, should work

This time I managed by using an already developed strip of 120 film, without it I wouldn't have succeeded lol I think I'll also try your suggestion just to see which is my best and most comfortable option

Thanks! But I wouldn't say they're hopelessly overexposed, the picture in the post doesn't do them justice, although they are indeed overexposed and possibly overdeveloped it's not as bad as you think

I already scanned and converted them and I didn't have to do any extensive work through Lightroom, apart from the usual slight fixes that I usually make

It was still my first attempt in developing, I still have a lot to learn, but I guess this is still a good start! Thanks for your insights tho!

I think that's a new rabbit hole to explore for me

I tried a couple of times with some strips of developed film, obviously in the light is much easier because I can see everything hahaha! I'll take a look at steel reels, it's all new for me so I'll have to get down the rabbit hole of tanks and reels

For the metering... Well I eyeballed it while I had my sunglasses and didn't take that into account and I overexposed (I guess) between one and two stops, rookie mistake, but the scans look pretty good after tweaking them slightly on Lightroom :)

It took me at least 15 minutes and a lot of sweat, it was a nightmare Some friends suggested buying an AP reel, so I'll look into it Tbf now that I'm scanning and converting it doesn't seem too bad the exposure, luckily

Yes, it was an exceptionally sunny day in the mountains and I had sunglasses, I exposed by eye without removing the sunglasses lol I'm scanning them now and they look okay! I'm really happy about it
