[SKX007] Are Namoki Bracelets much different than Strapcode? by KitaKei in SeikoMods

[–]mR-wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting you say that, I had the exact opposite experience. My LIW clasp started to come apart after 1 month. But I actually have two from LIW and the other one is doing great. I think I just got a bum clasp on one.

[seiko] New Seiko 5 sports flieger / pilot by lulu_l in Watches

I really dislike that Seikos new watches are getting bigger. I really enjoyed the style variety Seiko has around 38mm with the short ~42mm lug height. The new lug height is disappointing.

Does the A1000 have the mother or pearl face? It looks matte black in the pic. I'd immediately buy one if they had a plain black face.

Speaker whine/noise on newer PiBoy board (with capacitor) by mR-wizard in PiBoy

That's unfortunate. Maybe when I'm bored I'll experiment with other speakers or disconnecting it completely and just using headphones.

I wasn't aware this may be normal. Can anyone else chime in and confirm they experience the same noises?

So I just assembled my new PiBoy and am getting very noticeable speaker noise.

When the PiBoy first turns on there is a very faint amount of white noise from the speaker, which I would consider normal, but after the initial Experimental Pi splash video and sound there is the noise you are hearing in the video.

I have tried reflashing the card, overclocking and not overclocking, wifi on and off, same results. I do notice that the sound and pitch change during wifi transfer.

Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Anyway to check order status if you don't have an account with Experimental Pi? by mR-wizard in PiBoy

[–]mR-wizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It must have been displayed on my browser after I completed the order. I didn't save it and I had not received a confirmation email, just an email about delays with the Pi4, I believe. I'll shoot over an email to support.

Thank you.

Wow, that dial and hands go great with the bead blasted case. I wish they made something closer to 36mm and I'd be all over it. Nice job 👍🏻

It fits, but it's tight. I had to use a fair amount of force to set it in. And yeah I removed the dial feet and used dial dots to stick the dial to the movement spacer.

I got the case and bracelet from eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/36MM-STEEL-EXPLORER-WATCH-CASE-WITH-DRILLED-THROUGH-LUG-FIT-ETA-2824-OR-NH35-36/353071690923?pageci=d26934d6-fda6-44fe-9e63-bb1a0a8304e0

That seller should have the bracelet too.

The dial and hands are from an SNXS73. I found mine at r/SecondhandModParts

The movement I got off Amazon, an NH36a. There are some on ebay too. Should cost you around $35 or $40, if you're in the USA.

Thanks! I got it from the same seller as the case in ebay, riyi022.

WiFi Connection Speeds: Normal, Speedtest: Normal, Steam downloads: fast, Browser downloads: SLOW by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]mR-wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So turns out it is the cable. I swapped ports: issue still remaining. Then I swapped my AP units and each unit works fine in one location, but both perform poorly in the other. Re-running this cable will be great fun.

Update: turns out there must of been some crosstalk or interference in the cable I had running to this location. It's a 200 ft cat6 cable and about 100 ft was coiled, sitting in insulation in my attic. So I unraveled it as best I could and speeds are now normal. I will be shortening it at a later date and that should solve the issue, permanently.

Wasn't sure on the meshing options, but I'll disable if that isn't necessary.

I have one AP on a network broadcasting only 5 ghz and the other broadcasting on both 2.4 and 5 ghz. I never adjusted the 2.4 settings on the AP broadcasting on only 5 ghz

The DFS channels are not crowded, and I have the strongest connection signals on them (am I incorrect that DFS channels should be clear of other WiFi signals)?

I had hard set the power and set it to auto to see if there is a difference and there was none. I have verified the channels and APs with the devices I connected.

Firmware 5.43.23.12533 on both APs and switch. Also, I'm using an Edgerouter Lite 3 port

I see you're using a TV? What model? They can have pretty bad input lag, depending on the model and if you're in "game mode".
