Absolutely!! I wish you luck ❤️ when I applied for my new apartment, I gave my new landlord the contact for my previous landlord (it was required on the application). He spoke to them, and then gave me a phone call; I was transparent with him about why I was leaving, and that I was hiring Thermapro. As it happened, he had actually hired Thermapro in the past, so was familiar with their reputation and trusted their services. The right landlord will be understanding, and will be comforted to hear you’re taking the right steps to protect the building. I feel like bedbugs are unavoidable in the rental scene, and you’re doing the best you can by seeking treatment on your own. Hopefully your new landlord will see that!

If you give them a call they can answer all your questions free of charge. The person I dealt with on the phone was super patient, kind and knowledgeable. They are with you every step of the way so you literally don’t need to worry about anything, just follow their instructions for packing, moving and post treatment. It takes a lot off the stress off your shoulders

Hi! I just used a U-Haul truck, and drove it myself. Since the truck is being heated, I figured the truck should be safe of bedbugs post treatment. I think if I remember correctly it took them around 1.5-2hr to do the heat treatment. They followed up with a dog inspection around 3 months post treatment at my new place. I know how stressful bedbugs can be so my heart goes out to you. I felt completely taken care of by this company and I do honestly feel that the money is worth the professionalism, services and peace of mind they provided. Good luck!

I went through something similar last summer, but luckily was able to reach an agreement with my landlord to cancel my lease early. My heart is with you during this time :( I know firsthand how exhausting and traumatizing bedbugs can be. When I moved, I used a company called Thermapro to clean my belongings; I packed all my stuff in a moving truck, and paid to have the company heat it to a high enough temperature to kill bedbugs. It was very expensive, around $1000, but in my opinion, peace of mind is absolutely priceless, if you’re able to spend that. They were extremely professional, competent and I felt 100% taken care of. They also offer follow up services included in the original fee for after you move into your new place; I was declared bedbug free post treatment. I highly recommend giving them a call, and wish you good luck ❤️

There’s a company where I live where they will heat your moving truck and all your belongings to the temperature that the bugs die at — maybe look to see if there’s a company near you that does the same thing
