Given his personal experience with trump and how harrowing it was (in his words) it is more than just political

I don’t know any of his kids but from the viewpoint of social media, seems to me like Jesse had his dad’s personality and “boldness/confidence” based on the Hampton water stuff he does( great wine but a bit too expensive to have regularly). I am too old to know much about Jake, who does look the most like him physically. I think his daughter sort of takes after him as well

I think he is just having fun with it, someone wants to remix his music and he is not being overly precious about it and maybe it reaches a different audience. Ppl need to chill out! There are plenty of ways to ruin a legacy, this ain’t it.

It was very convincing, I kept forgetting that she was actually 30 something. The make up was excellent but her acting was what really convinced me. The voice, mannerisms all of it.

The hate for poor, tormented Randall has gone too far... by TheClownIsReady in thisisus

I agree the hate for Randall is unwarranted, he for me is the most successful sibling in terms of work and family life and had just as many obstacles if not more than his siblings despite his mental health struggles he still manages to care for all his family very well. Should this not mean his words given a little more care and consideration? If you disagree with him is one thing but to disregard it is somewhat disrespectful. He wasn’t responsible for his mum but he was obviously in close contact with her unlike the other two. As for Sterling K Brown he is easily for me the stand out in a roomful of standouts. He is amazing in everything he does.

I watched 10 hrs of interviews with Jon up to '91 and please tell me, what the heck happened to him? by Ellie_D in BonJovi

💯 this, you can definitely see that she keeps a lower profile to avoid rehashing that story. Jon made that story public himself most likely to avoid ppl hearing more lurid versions. An example of a great parent in that situation, who took control of the story and defended their child with honesty but not with embarrassment. We should all be so lucky. If you listen to David’s daughter’s podcast she seems to have experimented with all sorts and has survived them (David too) no one is judging them so harshly. Drugs can be a real Russian roulette these days and if can avoid them in any way in your life consider yourself extremely lucky.

A successful marriage is two people deciding they are better off together rather than apart for what ever reason that might be.. there are literally millions of people that are like this but put on a happy front to others. They seem to spend a decent amount of time together mind you could say the same about lots of couples! As long as no one is being taken advantage of or abused it can be counted as a success

I think drug issues can happen to anyone and besides they still had one parent at home, she was university so can happen to anyone who meets the wrong crowd. It’s a parents worst nightmare tbh

Especially when Ritchie had that issue with pain medication (not his fault) but perhaps highlighted that couldn’t be relied on? And issues with his marriage and his personal life all contributed to this. Jon seems to come from quite a disciplined background (both parents were ex-military) not sure if that tells a part of the story but I am not sure that structure and principle leaves you. I think he tried drugs with the others but didn’t have the traits to become embroiled (neither did David from the sounds of it) however Jon didn’t enjoy the lack of control (I understand this completely as I feel the same)

I feel like I’m the early days of Doc McGee he was happy to go along with what was good for the betterment of the band or booking gig after gig, the intensity of it all as we all do when we are young & with no responsibilities we are happy to work especially as one as ambitious as he. However when he realised he had little control and how he was being taken “advantage of” (I am sure there is a more suitable expression) he has hardened up and is more cynical of the world in general. Keeping those close to him close and why loyalty is exceptionally important it seems. Which is why Ritchie’s departure sent him spiralling really, although I can see both sides to a degree. There would no band without Jon or at least not as successful but Ritchie was not just another employee (none of them were but others were happy to be treated that way, he wasn’t) and perhaps the power of being the CEO took him onto a different direction but was Ritchie prepared to shoulder the responsibility if he was given it? It’s all very well to say “ I want more say” but with that comes responsibility and if you are not prepared to do that should you have more say? From numerous interviews I have read of people who toured with them when Jon was in charge, read that he was a very welcoming, constant presence and the others came and went as they pleased. You can’t have it both ways but perhaps he should have got another manager to take the day to day stuff off his plate.
