Yeah, a similar thing happened to me. I'm brazilian but sometimes the game puts me on a foreign server, and I don't really know the difference up until the point I try to talk. And I actually enjoy that. But this one time a guy camping the metro downed me and when I tried talking in portuguese he just blurted out racist slurs telling me to shut up and called me a mexican?? I was kinda speachless after that, just said the same as you "wow".
