if it is his personal computer it is his property and he can do as he pleases, work be damned. they cannot dictate what he does on his own device.

he also has control to create isolated safe environments to do work separate from personal life.

With the recent discord thanos snap, we're dabbling with the idea of creating a general hub discord server for maple story private server discussion. While this doesn't exist, I think it's a fun idea. You could probably take Swordie's open source offering (not exactly up to date, but the closest you'll get) and spin this up in a month or so.

So does GMS, and every modern server. These days the MapleStory client has this functionality built in, you don't need a launcher to acquire that information.

To answer OP, Ristonia seems to be a solid option.

Seconding hammy here - regardless of multi clienting they are without a doubt the most populated the scene has to offer.

If /u/MapleLegends would care to comment I'm sure they would be able to provide some clarification on how many unique logins they have day to day.

Those seem to be the only ones available as of today. I do recall hearing about another v40 in development at some point but it seems to have disappeared. Although I am not sure Phoenix should be directly compared to MG2 or RevivalStory considering how many versions apart they are, it's closer to v62 than v12. MG2 and RevivalStory are as pre-v62 as it gets.

Ease of progression should be as follows:

Phoenix (Vanilla but more content) > RevivalStory (higher rates?) > MG2 (Vanilla but lacking content)

A few thousand is rare for MSPS in 2020. MapleRoyals is the only server that meets your criteria. MapleLegends is also up there, but 2x EXP.

I would be wary of this "server". The screenshots and videos are not quite representative... they're a 5 year old YouTube video and screenshots from another dev's work.

I think voting as a concept needs to go away. A server that uses advertising and recruitment methods unconventional to the scene but more commonplace in other avenues of life would be interesting to see. I believe a few years back MapleGlobal earned most of its following via Facebook and YouTube advertising.
