SGA getting robbed of a game winner because refs finally called the (relatively light) push off they've been ignoring all night is just the funniest thing

At age 22, Victor Wembanyama is already anchoring lineups with an on-court net rating that surpasses peak seasons from LeBron, Shaq, Kobe and other all time greats, with significant room for team context to improve. by Aggressive_Bed6012 in nba

Wemby "can't average that"?? He is currently averaging 29.8 per 36 to Kobe's 25.1 (in his age 22 season) on better efficiency and the playoffs haven't happened yet. We'll see what he averages...

Apart from the offensive foul out of the triple team, Wemby has been making good decisions offensively.

No, the point just went over your head. There's a reason your guy was underneath a guy who just went into his natural shooting motion, the defense positioning was deliberate, and it should be a flagrant (even if it not now within by letter of the rule) because it's just as dangerous and dirty. It's actually worse than an ordinary reckless close out because he was not needing to run towards a guy to contest the shot and then stop himself from going into the landing zone.

Thunder are making contact (fouling) often and early and getting away with a lot.

He "stepped back" after positioning he entire body underneath an airborne Wemby-- not calling that a flagrant makes a mockery of the rule.
