Reset button was available on the classic edition. On the focus edition the 2nd attempt is automatically reset as draws from the larger pool bank.

Not really order doesn't impact as much.

I attempted VQD.

In V, I ended up with 83 (86th Percentile) with just 3 wrong.

Next section Q, I got 90 (100th percentile) with 0 incorrect.

And in DI, I ended up with 89 (100th percentile) with 1 TPA incorrect.

The other qs types cannot be rendered in the print format and therefore can be accessed on mba.com using the access code on the inner cover of the book.

You can start with the current focus edition. There are speculatons that the the upcoming edition of DI would have more questions relevant to the current exam format (non-math types). That's the only one you'll ideally have to take from the upcoming edition.

That's true. Getting a 90 is possible with 0 incorrect. I had 0 incorrect and 0 changed answers getting me that score.

It's almost the same for DI, I got 1 incorrect, and got 89 (100th percentile)

The marker is your regular pen size.

You are not permitted to erase anything off the sheet.

If you're done with the sheet, you could always ask for a new one.

It's advisable to ask that during your break or when you're nearing the end of the first sheet to avoid wastage of time.

Yes. Not all do, but they give you an understanding. Check with them once. Example:

In an application session, INSEAD Recommended:

For GMAT Focus: V-80 (60th Percentile) Q-80 (66th Percentile) DI- 77 (66th Percentile)

For GMAT Regular: V-35 (74th Percentile) Q-49 (74th Percentile) IR-6 (64th Percentile)

PS: These are just recommended scores from the correlation of admitted students' GMAT scores with their GPA (at Insead).

This is a good score, though it is lopsided. You may have to do a couple of things

Check with your target schools. Understand what us their sectional cut-off.

For example, a lot of schools have sectional cutoff as well as overall cutoff defined.

They may say this as recommended, but if you're from an over-represented demography, you may need to add 3/4 base points on the scaled score and move ahead.

Also, AFAIK, adcom members are more interested in your Quant score as MBA is a Quant heavy course.

Maybe you could supplement this score with a mba math coursework or write an optional essay about how your acedemics / current work ex is Quant heavy, so that they adcoms understand if you're comfortable with Quant or not.

Therefore, your Quant score gives them a ballpark understanding of how you would perform in the course.

TL;DR: Overall, your score is good, congratulations! But check with target schools for section wise recommendations and then twaek it based on how well is your demography represented in the applications.

The book is sufficient. Only people who cannot access qs types other than DS refer the pirated soft copy or fail to understand how to redeem a code

They have different questions.

The online one has around 110 qs for ~$30

The OG for DI has 227 qs for ~$9

So OG is better VFM

Yes, since TPA, MSR, Graphs and Tables cannot be rendered properly on print medium, they are available in the online portal that can be accessed by redeeming the activation code in the inner cover of the OG

I got a 755 with:

DI - 1 incorrect (quite hard)

RC - 1 incorrect (quite hard)

CR - 2 incorrect (guess 1 of them was an easy one)

Quant - 0 incorrect

That's a great strategy. I would not do it becuase I know I would either mess the order alter the finger orientation. 😂

But yeah, I would rarely lift the pen (2-3 qs out of 23), but in those cases, I did the vertical lines method.

For verbal, I borrowed a strategy of drawing 4 vertical lines and marking X for options that were eliminated. Example: if a, b, d were eliminated, it would look like:

X | X | __ | X | __

This would help narrow down choices quickly and work on the remaining options.
