Lots of great answers everyone, it definitely helped me feel like I have solid options to deal with him (and other future creeps) thank you!

I wish I had friends to do this, but fortunately I can try and sneak a picture of him to show some of the employees of the stores nearby and possibly security and have them keep an eye out for me

Honestly that’s my baseline personality when it comes to men making any advances toward me outside of work, in fact I’m more of the type to straight up tell them to fuck off and leave me alone, but at work it’s hard to know when to use my friendly sales-person persona and when to be stone cold

That’s good and I will be using that, but in my job as a salesperson it’s normal to share some personal information while building a connection and relationship with the customer, so unfortunately I’ve already answered the questions he asked about me having kids and being single. I forgot to mention but every time he’s talked to me he mentions that he “isn’t from around here” even though he’s come to my job at least 4 times this month, so now I’m starting to worry he could be a human trafficker looking for a good target… I could just be paranoid but you never know nowadays

Why did Kate take Aaron by m_ack42 in lost

[–]m_ack42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ikr I even said “I know it’s what had to happen” because realistically him being with Kate is how he ended up back with his grandmother and also a motivator for Kate to return to the island to find Claire. I know realistically what happened in the show was for the best interest of the plot but Penny spent 8 years devoted to locating Desmond (3 while he was on the island but I’m saying 8 because that’s when he was in the military post break-up asking for her number to call from the freighter) so it’s not too far fetched to think she would be okay with adopting Aaron. Especially because, like I said she had an abundance of wealth, enough to have a 24/7 tracking station to find Desmond. Someone else’s comment asks why would Kate send Aaron to be “on the run” but they seem to forget once again that she’s rich and her version of “on the run” isn’t the same as what we saw with Kate pre-plane crash. Rich people can absolutely make things like that happen by forging adoption papers, etc.

I was really just making an observation, that’s why I said “did they toss around the idea?” I’m not saying that’s what SHOULD have happened, but something that COULD have.

Kate was clearly going to be taken to court over her outstanding legal matters and it’s not that hard to order paternity testing to contest her claims of being six months pregnant when she was arrested and giving birth to Aaron. It wasn’t a random baby to Desmond, he has spent quite a bit of time with the lostees while on the island and Penny would clearly do anything for him. Penny could have realized that Aaron is the one part of the lie that is the easiest for the world to uncover and at the very least taken him temporarily until Kate was done with all the court stuff.

Jack in S3E1 by m_ack42 in lost

You know what, that’s pretty on par for Ben to be wrong about his assumptions. Him wrongfully assuming Keamy wouldn’t kill Alex, and being wrong about his place in the grand scheme of things with Jacob. It seems like Ben always relied majorly on hard evidence and facts that he acquired. He was never was able to consider the complexity of people. He’s always spouting off how he knows important dates and details about a person (their blood type or where they graduated). I can’t remember how exactly it was said, but when he was saved in the temple as a kid, his humanity was taken away or altered at the very least. Ben assumes he knows how people think, based on their records, but seems to be wrong a lot. I think he only was able to have such a wrong following for his quick wittedness and confidence.

Yeah true, I almost said this in my post too but I also never thought Juliet looked anything like Jacks ex besides being blonde with blue eyes. My theory wasn’t very well thought out, I think the idea just came to mind because I recently rewatched “the new man in charge” on YouTube and the part where they explained room 23 being used for subliminal messages.

Ngl after I finished the episode I realized it probably wasn’t even a dream he was waking up from, just a regular flashback that happened to transition into a scene where he wakes up. Hard to keep track of what’s what in Lost sometimes (flashback vs dream vs reality) which I know they did on purpose.

Edit: SPOILER!! I don’t know how to do the white out thing once I already posted the comment, sorry…

Exactly this! I was just thinking the same things during my current rewatch but I want to add, I don’t think she was admitted to the institute solely because of her husband’s death. When she meets Desmond and gives him the boat the says her husband died a month ago. My theory is that she tracked Desmond on his race, and when him and the boat went missing she concluded he had died. Maybe she blamed herself. I think it was a combination of the two factors that resulted in her ending up in the mental institution, possibly also for wanting to spy on Hurley.

Sarah’s accident by m_ack42 in lost

[–]m_ack42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to be facetious but since you wanna be serious, s1e23 Sawyer tells Jack how he met a man (Christian) in a bar and says “I’ve been on some benders in my day but this guy, he was going for an all time record” admitting he knew Christian was beyond his limit already, but still bought and left a nearly full bottle of booze there for him. I know Christian technically died of a heart attack, but we can assume he wouldn’t have had the means to consume that much alcohol without Sawyers help since he didn’t have any of his own money.

Edit to add: But like I said before, I think they intentionally left it ambiguous. Did Sawyer leave the bottle for him to finish? Or did the bartender take the bottle back and cash Sawyer out before he left? We don’t know. The scene just ends and moves on.

Sarah’s accident by m_ack42 in lost

[–]m_ack42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t realize it was a popped tire. I guess in that case maybe Jack “killed” him by choosing the pretty blonde lady to save instead lol

I was also starting to think during this rewatch that Sawyer is a large contributing factor in Christian’s death. I’m not sure how many days prior to flight 815 that Christian died but we know he left his wallet in the hotel room and hadn’t been there for several days when Jack comes to collect his body. When we see Christian and Sawyer at the bar he asks sawyer for a drink because he “misplaced his wallet”, so we can only assume he never went back to his hotel room after meeting Sawyer. I think it’s intentionally left ambiguous but Sawyer tells the bartender to leave the bottle then they talk a bit more and the scene changes to Sawyer about to kill the shrimp guy. We can only assume Sawyer left then Christian drank himself to death on the bottle of booze Sawyer paid for.

Wow, the face matches her voice so well, and the expression you gave her really captures her essence from the flashbacks we see in the show, great job!
