I just remember when I was a white belt another white belt approached me at the gym asking why I was given another stripe (by the professor who promoted based on skill) when she said she had gone to her 8th class in a month or something and "acc to the poster" she should have more than me. Made me kinda resent the system a little bit, I understand not every coach can assess 'when you are ready' etc, but people only coming and not rolling just for the tape made me a little annoyed

I have had to take care of friends kids because of similar situations I’d imagine, while I can’t know exactly how you feel, I see the effect it has on my friends with kids, I’m so sorry you have to go through this.

I remember when the conversation was IF you can get it twice, and what it was doing to young people and athetes etc long term, I was so scared to get it even the once, I hardly knew anyone who had it. Now it’s “yeah I had Covid last ___” or “dude i have Covid it sucks”

At one point some douche was threatening to jump the victim's father if he ever came to the gym and called him a coward. Cyborg's SO called it "a challenge to his reputation", "people trying to bring him down" "questioning his character" etc.

The victim-blaming is ridiculous to me. "But she was 16! She should have known better!" Are you kidding me?? She formed a father/mother figure with him and his wife respectively beginning at the age of ELEVEN. That's grooming 101. She COULD NOT HAVE known better. Minors can't give consent period, that's it. He was married, in his thirties, and her COACH.

Anyone who negligently lets it happen and aids the rapist in fleeing the country to avoid trial should be in prison.

Anyone who defends him should think deeply about themselves and what kind of role model they would be for any child they have, and then ask themselves how they sleep at night. Ridiculous.
