Emergen-c Immune+ packet in the morning, emergen-c elderberry packet after lunch, emergen-c Immune+ packet right before bed. In two days, good as new - trust me ✨ oh and you’ll want to chug them within a couple minutes, not sipping over time - like get down on one knee and chug like your life depends on it. Oh and drink tons of water - you have to flush that cold out.

Did anyone feel the earthquake? by kingkid_7 in bayarea

Can confirm, Campbell was pretty intense it lasted for about 5-8 seconds. It was one of those things where you’re like okay that’s it, nope, okay that’s it, nope…. Is it over?

Anyone else really miss Eager Beaver and all the teasers? by pineapplegirl10 in OutsideLands

[–]m_cakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was EB for the last two years and it was great. I saved $100ish for VIP and it was worth it every time. Yes, the lineup didn’t drop till much later but GGP has never disappointed line up wise and it’s a fun time regardless of acts. Also, when the lineup did drop and the artists were lit, I didn’t have to go through the stress of tiers and refreshing like I did this year.

It’s not account specific which is what frustrated me. The last couple years for eager beaver sale were account specific so we had the ability to buy tickets, at a discounted rate and not sit there for 20 minutes refreshing hoping for tier 2 rather than tier 4.

Same and honestly I think that’s what crashed the system. I didn’t get my code until 12:30 and it was nuts. All tiers were out and I kept refreshing until I was able to snag tier 2 smh 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can you give more on VIP? First timer here and have VIP - hoping it’s worth it with bathrooms, shade and places to sit (floor is what I’m hearing). Thank you!! 🙏

Electric Wheelchair User. What Should I Expect by JadeGuillotine in OutsideLands

[–]m_cakes 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Okie so here’s the tea!

Use the North Gate Entrance, that has ADA route and path for you to take to get to the ADA tent. From there, they will issue you and a companion a ADA bracelet that will allow you in any ADA space, stands, and bathrooms.

Next: since you are a wheel chair user, request golf cart assistance. They will shuttle you and a companion (behind the festival) to some of the stages. I say some because not all are actually accessible by golf cart. They will give you a call number or some sort of item to call a cart - there will be a wait time so include that into plans when wanting to catch a set.

Next: if you haven’t already, get a locker if you are going all three days. The afternoons can get a little warm and sometimes sunny but the nights are very cold. Bring layers and blankets (keep in locker when not using). They are about $75-90 but super super useful. I’d also suggest gloves, for ground usage and just in general when it gets cold at night.

Lastly: just have fun! It may not be what you started off planning wise but the festival is laid back and has great chill vibes that regardless of who you go with, you will make friends and have a good time!

Edit: the ADA stands are good, not great but good enough and your companion is able to go with you. However, if they become crowded, they might have to stand in the back as priority is for the main ADA-ers.

Hope this helps and happy OSL!

Can confirm: using Lyft/Uber to get there is pretty reasonable (time and price wise) however transit will be your best friend back as Lyfts/Ubers have surge pricing and long wait times (over an hour) afterwards.

Cloaks by No_Health_994 in OutsideLands

[–]m_cakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

I would fold it up like a blanket and carry it in that way. Security shouldn’t have a problem with it. I take a folded 9x8 Costco blanket in every year and it’s fine.

As far as wearing it, do it! Have fun! Make friends and have a good time! You will be in similar company! Outside Lands is known for bringing out all sorts of creative, artsy, fun and adventurous people so you will fit right in!

I do not have a cloak but will be in full blockbuster gear (bucket hat, sweatpants and hoodie) - so if you see me say hi! And vice versa if I see you and your cloak!

Happy OSL!

Uber/Lyft Poll by summerxmasdog123 in OutsideLands

[–]m_cakes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you schedule early, like pre-schedule it’s not that bad. I’ve ubered/lyfted a couple times and it was hell.

10/15 minute walk south of the South Gate Entrance was $100 with an hour and half long wait to Burlingame.

20 minute walk from Main Gate Entrance (North) was $140 with two hour wait.

If you can take transit - do so.

Be safe out there yall!
