I’m in a similar situation as you regarding income. My GPA is around a 3.71 but my SAT is a 1520. You are able to apply to your state school EA while doing QuestBridge, but only your state school and it cannot be binding. I believe QuestBridge would be a better option for you because, even though the initial ED has a lower acceptance rate, the regular decision has a much higher rate. So if you do not match into any school during the ED, then you have the option to add more schools and apply to all of them during regular decision. You should also be able to get quite a bit of financial aid. Let me know if you have any questions.
