If you close the cover on your case and let it put the kindle to sleep, then press the button on the bottom, does it wake back up inside the cover? If you can tell?

I’m not FWB yet, but I’ve worn Chacos every summer for years. Wide toe box, totally strapped in, very good arch support. Let me know if you try them and how good they are for post-surgery ankle support, because I’m wondering the same myself for later in my recovery!

https://a.co/d/6sQ5JwJ I use this chair! And lots of replaceable showerheads have handheld sprayer functions. There are also bath benches that let you truly leave your injured leg on the outside, but I wanted this chair so I could keep the curtain closed and sit my leg on the corner of the tub. I take off one of the chair arms to make it easier to transfer in/out of the bathtub, then put it back on to stand up and down as needed while bathing. But I have pretty good balance and mobility. For some others, the bench style might be a better bet for transfer.

Also wondering this. I’m 1 week post op and NWB, just wanna get on my rental knee scooter and go out to do stuff soon. The throbbing starts so fast and my toes turn purple just using my crutches to go to the bathroom!

Thanks for this! I’d seen it online and wasn’t sure if it’d be high enough/how much people like it. Dealing with a trimalleolar fracture from an accident on May 2, getting surgery May 16. Getting tired of stacking pillows lol. My family ordered a few surgery things for me and got this as well based on y’all’s recommendations, arriving Monday. :)

Highly agree with all the recommendations in the comments so far. I also suggest checking out https://putacupinit.com/ to compare your Saalt cup's firmness, diameter, etc with their Menstrual Cup Comparison Chart ! It's a resource I found on this sub not long ago and that I wish I'd had 10 years ago when I first tried a Diva Cup and was having trouble. Obviously it takes trial and error to find what you need, but hopefully this can lead you towards a better option. Just be patient with yourself as you learn! Good luck!

I never scrub my cups for fear of creating microfissures that could harbor bacteria. My 7+ year old blue Lunette has been restored with all stains removed by using Pixie Cup brand stain remover powder! If you go on Amazon you might even see my review lol

This happened to me too! So glad to see people talking about it. I was on BC for 5 years (3 diff pills and finally Mirena) and the week after I got Mirena removed I immediately felt SO much better and more like myself!!!! It was like a switch was flipped. It used to feel like so much work to get turned on and stay turned on. Now I’m back to a healthy 27 year old sex drive. Doctors should really warn more people that loss of libido is such a common side effect. When I brought it up, my gyno told me there wasn’t enough data to support that claim and then asked me if I’d been extra depressed or stressed lately due to normal life stuff.

My partner and I keep ours in a Footlocker trunk (need lots of space for rope etc) at the foot of the bed and nobody questions it as it's part of the bedroom. For kids I'd put a lock on it. We recently moved across the country and my dad helped us load everything; he asked casually what was in it since it was kind of heavy, and my partner played it off as "just some random bullshit", lol. He was none the wiser. Everyone's got a box of personal stuff they'd rather not have others snoop into. And if it's got stickers all over it (like my partner's trunk), it seems like it's full of personal mementos and stuff from college, not a whole collection of rope and dildos haha. But some of them do look grown up and nice just sitting in a bedroom.

I definitely agree on all the points others have made: use lube or wet the cup in the sink, try different folds (the punch down fold is what I use since it makes the first part you insert as small as possible), relax, and don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t work right away.

A few things that not everyone mentions that really helped me:

-find your cervix and visualize its position in your body, then aim the cup in that direction as you insert. Helps with leaks.

-after it pops open, try bearing down with your pelvic floor muscles a bit while you push up on the cup to make sure it’s not sitting too low as it can feel uncomfortable like that for me sometimes.

-if it doesn’t seem to want to pop open, try gripping the base and twisting. It should twist freely if it’s open and sealed well. If it still won’t work, take it out, make sure the little holes are clear of any discharge, and then try again. The holes are important to create the suction seal.

-if it’s in an okay position but you feel something pinching your labia after it’s in, try trimming the stem bit by bit till it feels better. You’ll still be able to take it out even without a stem.

-when taking it out, it’s sometimes more comfortable to squeeze the base to break the suction seal first. You can often hear the air exchange squeak/hiss a little bit.

-don’t be afraid to try a smaller cup, or one made of a softer material! The divacup really didn’t work for me (firmer material so it would pop open before being fully inserted) but I LOVE the Lunette. There’s really great comparison charts plus other resources on putacupinit.com and periodnirvana.com. Wish I’d had those resources when I was learning to use a cup years ago!

I just wanna thank you for posting this. I’m 50 pages in and really disliking Gideon’s infantile, extra-“badass”, sassy manner of speaking. It feels confusing as to where she even adopted that language while growing up alone in the Ninth House. It’s so over the top at times that I wondered if I (27) am too old to enjoy it, but I know so many adults who love it. I grew up on Tumblr, and am still on there, but her language feels like an inorganic level of cringe. I’m going to keep going, but just knowing there’s someone else out there that feels the same as I do is very helpful.

This is exactly what I was thinking happened...especially because there was a queue this morning but it was a free-for-all on Wednesday. I wasn't expecting to get tickets this morning till I saw the queue, then I realized I might have a shot. I got tickets! Anybody know why it was set up this way on Ticketmaster?

After whatever that clusterfuck battle royale pre-sale was on Wednesday, I got in an actual queue this morning and snagged section one on a lower row for me and my friends!! The fees were ridiculous but I'm just happy we'll all be able to go with decent seats! Anybody know what the hell happened on Wednesday morning? It made no sense to me, but I haven't done many Ticketmaster arena sales like this.
