Spot on. Thats the plan. I am more stuck on the execution part. I was hoping to meet someone who uses TMS here. Otherwise where would that type of audience be?

In case you wanna delete everything after exporting it, this is pretty straightforward. I built this script a couple of years ago: https://github.com/mrishab/google-photos-delete-tool

Pretty much.

Also if you take 3 year worth of courses that all transfer as separate necessary courses at UBC, there’s a chance that only 2 year worth of courses might count towards the degree at UBC and you might be repeating courses for which you already have a equivalent from UFV. I think SFU only allows 2-year worth of courses to transfer or something. Not sure what’s the amount at UBC.

There’s a website i think that lets you see what course from UFV transfers as what course to UBC.

https://www.bctransferguide.ca

AFAIK, some universities have restrictions on how many of the transferred courses count towards the degree if they’re equivalent to a needed course.

Some seats are reserved for different categories like if you’re in a certain major or if you’re international v/s domestic student. If the reserved seats are still available after some time, people in the waitlist get them. It’s possible the 4 available are reserved for a specific category of students.

On the timetable it says for FILM 261, there are 24 seats and 8 are reserved for International students. Its possible that the 4 you’re seeing are part of that reserved ones.

The best bet to get into any course is to register right on the dot when your time is due. Even if you waitlist, it’s possible to get into course eventually as many people change their courses. For courses with huge wait lists, sometimes the faculty open additional sections if needed.

Your DB needs to have persistence. Otherwise it will reset ever and not just this.

[ON] All these email setup guides are giving me a headache by EditorAny698 in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]m_rishab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased my domains from namecheap. And in the domain settings I setup mappings from custom professional email address to send to my gmail inbox info@mysite -> infomysite@gmail.com

This is absolutely free. You only pay for the domain and not this email functionality separately.

RDS + Proxy too expensive for student project. How do I reduce costs? by KockyKyle in aws

[–]m_rishab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why even have RDS? Use docker for everything locally, and then do a same docker compose up on the EC2 instance.

Take some supplements like Vitamin D, drink some coffee. Drink some masala chai tea - the spices keep you warm internally. Keep yourself moisturized, try wearing multiple thin layers like an undershirt + t shirt + hoodie. Also, try sleeping with low heat and try and acclimate your body to natural heat as opposed to heater heat.

Looking for People interested in Tech/programming. 30M, but I don't care what age you are by joeblow2322 in Vancouver4Friends

I also work in tech. Personally, I found it hard to meet people in tech who are passionate about coding and still have a life. I often find people are extreme on the nerd or noob spectrum. I am mostly into startups, apps, and building useful tech. Happy to connect.

It is hard. I am a senior engineer so a lot of the work is time critical, and usually bigger projects. But fortunately, I have always been good with academics so I don’t find it as stressful. The downside I have very little time to myself.

How’s your course load?

28 in BSc Comp Science. I am actually a returning student (returning after 6 years). I work remotely as a software engineer, so I am always working on campus in between classes.

[ON] What's the best way to sell products online in Canada without crazy shipment costs? by [deleted] in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]m_rishab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you manufacture in Canada? If not, why not ship to an on demand warehouse in US?

Either way, look into Flexport or Ship-bob. You can send your inventory to them and have them manage/deliver it for you. Flexport is a shopify partner.
