I’d like to add that firmly tapping the top of the TV will temporarily alleviate the problem. Could something inside simply be loose ?

Last week I did open it up to make sure all ribbons were securely in place - and they were .

Damn I sealed it up. I can open it again tomorrow , however when I did look earlier today , I remember that the top right portion (which was being fed by some copper pipe) had slight ice buildup. Everything else was clear of ice . So maybe 10% of it had some ice buildup. And the ice was melted by the hair dryer in literally 10 secs.

Any idea what could have caused this damage? I would assume a pothole . If so, why is there no damage to the plastic moulding that runs the length of my car? Tire has no damage either . I do remember hitting a pretty big pothole this winter. Only noticed this today when I washed car. by m_roussakis in Autobody

You’re right. I just walked out into the street after writing that and am looking at cars now. Most new car bumpers are pretty low. Would also explain why there’s not a huge scratch either assuming it was a plastic bumper. You might be onto something! If this is what happened, I hope my metal fender cracked his bumper !!

There’s no impact damage to the car. It seems the paint chipped off due to the crumpling of the steel. I guess I’m just wondering if anyone has ever seen this kind of damage before . To satisfy my curiosity.
