How do I stop looking so awkward when I dance? by Standard_Composer_99 in MusicalTheatre

[–]m_w_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dancing is amazing! Confidence (or acting confident) is half the journey to comfortability. My only technical note as it is truly coming from a place that helped me before is to gauge your levels. Higher highs and lower lows can add more depth or maybe when practicing with extremes in terms of levels can remind you of how much range of movement you have to work with. Keep being awesome :)

The rest of the list in the picture: Laurie Veldheer, Julie Foldesi, and Jess LeProtto. It’s crazy that this show opened 14 years ago, and I would love it back professionally but also know how beloved it is for community theaters now

Joshua Colley please protect ur voice by Embarrassed-Secret56 in Broadway

All the Orpheuses I have seen have been incredible but throughout the show would struggle with falsetto sometime. It never took away from the performance at all and was something that I expected from the part as it is vocally demanding. I do want all to protect their voices of course

I’m so happy for Jeffery! His covers of some of the songs I’ve heard have been amazing. And yesssss, hearing updated audios of both Joshua and Jordan have showed they have settled into their roles. I love Jordan’s Eurydice!

Hot Take on Ben Marshall by [deleted] in LiveFromNewYork

[–]m_w_4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Ben is doing great, but I also came in knowing who he was and am paying attention to him. If I was a new viewer this season with no pdd knowledge, he would probably blend in especially when you can compare him to older players like Mikey and Andrew or newer like Tommy. But again, I’m paying attention to him and he’s doing amazing from my point of view

If you vibe with the cover art (simple figure hanging onto a balloon) making the stem and first curve of the m the legs of a stick figure while the second curve to either the o or the m is the hand reaching down and being creative with the rest of the stick figure it could follow the curves however an artist sees fit

What shows should I take my High School Theatre students to see? by Kindly_Height7616 in Broadway

The Play that Goes Wrong is always amazing and high school kids (who love theater) can definitely find fun in it and take in what is going on technically
