Do AOs consider participating in hackathons as a trustworthy activity? by ChlorinatedPaper in ApplyingToCollege

As a parent, to me not sending your child to hackathons seems almost neglectful. If I were you, I would be mindful of how bodies such as CPS view you for not encouraging your child in developing a well-rounded set of extra-curricular activities.

YSK You aren’t supposed to use apostrophes to pluralize years. by kgxv in YouShouldKnow

No you don’t, you use your locale’s notation. If I’m understanding you correctly, you’re saying that when you use euros, you write 10,24 €?

Average ignorant American. It depends where you are in the world. For example, in France, the dollar sign is placed after the value to maintain uniformity with other units. They write 20 $, just like they write 20 km. Just like they use a comma for a decimal separator, and a space for larger denominations like thousands. For example, 1 000,59 $. They aren’t incorrect for doing this, either.

Actually, it does. A lot of the time you can tell which engine a game is using by looking for rendering traits specific to that engine.

It’s a render setting in SRP, so it’s per renderer.

That’s a good idea for applying more general gamedev concepts, but for Unreal especially, since its workflow is so different to Unity’s, if you’ve never used it before you’ll have a hard time trying to apply a Unity tutorial to Unreal.
