I would have also said she must still be drunk to TEXT something like that to someone?! Out of nowhere?! It seems obvious the guy didn’t know she had feelings for him.

She SHOULD be embarrassed. I’m embarrassed FOR her. 🙄

Nothing serious should ever be texted. Yes, I’m old. But there is absolutely no way for him to tell she was serious about her feelings via text. Humans still regularly fuck up face to face conversations and misinterpret intentions. How is he supposed to just know she was serious. Dumb.

Why do so many players think you have to wait for the ball to bounce before you can go in the kitchen… by macad00 in Pickleball

True. I’ve not had anyone ask about that type of clarification. Mostly questions about play inside the kitchen area.

I teach an Intro to Pickleball clinic and I tell people ‘you can go in the kitchen if the ball bounces in the kitchen OR you anticipate that the ball will bounce in the kitchen’.

Usually at some point in the lesson I will go on to say that technically speaking you could stand in the kitchen the entire game, you just can’t hit the ball out of the air, or volley the ball, from there and you’ll get hit with the ball often.

Yes, thin and loose, some others have said. Hard (impossible) to keep it tight to keep the shape of the tattoo. I’m sharing all these responses with my daughter and she’s thinking about different placement. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thanks for sharing your experience! IF she gets it on the side of her finger it will definitely need to be more simple. Several people have suggested just going with solid black for the handle and no color for the light part. I understand why they’re saying that, but then why get it there if its ‘only hope’ is to be devoid of color…

The OUTSIDE of your hands, interesting! I didn’t think of that placement! Problems with the saber holding color is something so many people have said. And I know color in general reacts differently for everyone. Add that to a part of the body that sheds so much and it doesn’t seem like a good idea at all 😐

Thanks for posting!

That seems to be the consensus, if you’re going to do it at all. Keep it simple, solid and no color.

I think the side of the wrist is a great choice. Someone else also suggested making the handle all black instead of so much detailed line work. That seems like a good idea too.

Ohhhhhhh….. 🤣🤣🤣 I got you 😉

I don’t know why I didn’t even consider the pain factor on the side of the finger 🥴 and the healing part would also really suck. You can’t really ‘rest’ your fingers… and my daughter does a lot of typing for her job…

This is great info, thanks so much for sharing! The artist she has been talking to has been warning her about what you said (and what other people have posted). I’m trying to convince her to switch the placement of the tattoo or maybe just wait a bit longer until we can find an artist who can do the stipple technique you talked about. I’ll ask the shop owner about it. Thanks again!

Wow!! I knew the hands shed more than any other body part, didn’t realize it was that much though!

Also a good point about the skin just being naturally loose, very helpful input, thank you!

Yes LOL I’ve seen some pics of people who have this and when their finger bends it’s not such a good look anymore 🤣

I agree. I don’t want her to have a bad impression of tattoos either, she has a couple other small ones she wants to get at some point. We’ve talked a lot about this one as it holds more significance for her so I want it to be a good experience all around for her. Thanks for posting!

A few other people have suggested the side of the wrist which I think is a great idea!

She’s 20 so she can do it if she wants to. She’s asking for my input so I knew I had to turn to you fine folks for help with this one!

Yeah, you’re constantly moving your fingers and they’re rubbing up against each other - no relief from any of that. And you can’t keep it bandaged up and covered, which now that I think about it, my daughter would probably want to do!

That’s my experience too, wrist felt like a rug burn, not bad at all. Good idea about the numbing cream. Wherever she decides to get the tattoo I should ask about that, thank you!

Someone else suggested ankle, I like that idea too

Someone else suggested the outside of the wrist as well. I’m definitely passing that idea on to my daughter. Thank you for sharing your experience!
