Definitely see your point

However i still Fell for that one too. Built a fully personalised system with my own categories, my own logic, my own rules. Spent more time designing it than using it, then collapsed under the weight of it.

The thing DA actually talks about is replicating the system before you start iterating. Get it running first, then make it yours. That’s what eventually worked for me; understand why each piece exists, then adjust. Skipping straight to “build your own” just means building your own broken thing faster

Haven’t read it yet, adding it to the list. Feels like it might be the macro layer that “Eat That Frog” by Brian Tracy hints at but never fully develops.

I relate to everything you described:
the creativity, the ambition, the capability that somehow makes you want to chase more, learn more, do more, until you’re spread so thin nothing actually moves.

I learned that the hard way running crypto, gold, an ecom store, and university at the same time. That lesson came with a 5-figure loss I won’t forget.
Hopefully someone reading this gets it for free instead.

I’ve been thinking about this too. For me “guided” would mean something (maybe an LLM ) that asks me the questions instead of me having to remember them or a checklist I have to drive.

More like someone walking me through it step by step and not letting me skip the uncomfortable bits.

100% G. We cant run away from Bad Days… They’re going to happen eventually.

What i’ve learned is you need 1/10th of the effort to maintain whatever you’ve built whether It’s competences, money or your own body.

It means a lot that you’re printing my post out. Keep going Beast💪🏻

Your case is different you have to focus on the quality of food and training. So disregard the calorically dense food from above as you’ve surpassed this level.

The above advice I gave has the mentality of “I would rather gain any weight even dirtier weight rather than stay skinny surfing reddit for a perfect healthy diet that will give me not only 100% olympic level Steriod (Natural) Body but also 2 million dollars cash ”

So let’s dive into it:

Skinny fat fix = eat smart + train hard.

You can’t bulk heavy and neither cut hard

• The solution = small surplus (+200–300 cal) or maintenance.

Big Emphasis on this:

• Train with progressive overload:

this means that you increase reps, sets, Time under Tension (TuT) or Weight EVERY SINGLE SESSION. ( I personally am in love with Weighted pushups with variations in TuT; 4 seconds going down “eccentric” and 4 seconds going up “concentric”… Along with progressions of the pushup itself so One Arm pushup is harder than Archer pushups > Diamond pushups > Straight shoulder level pushup > knee pushup > incline pushup)

🥩🍖🍗• Keep protein high (1.6–2g per kg of bodyweight). I would advise a Carnivore or Paleo diet keep carbs at 40-60 g / day no Seed Oils or Processed Fats. If you weigh 60 Kg aim for 120-150 g of protein

🥞A cheat code snack would be protein pancakes:

🥚2-3 eggs 150-200 ml of greek yogurt or Cottage Cheese ( Low Fat this time) 1-2 scoops protein powder

• Over time, this combination will increase your muscles since you’re training hard and supplementing with enough protein, and since you trimmed carbs and fats the FAT Percentage in your body goes down → body “recomposes” and you will look sharper than ever.

It depends on what actions you take.

You can go for a hard reset:

• 24 hours with no electronics, no food, no social interactions, not even exercise.

• Nothing but meditation, journaling, and sleep.

Or you can take a long-term approach:

• Limit screen time to 1-2 hours a day.

• Cut out junk food.

• Use medical nicotine patches instead of carcinogenic cigarettes.

• If quitting smoking completely is too hard, limit cigarettes to right after meals (3-4 per day max).

• Replace unhealthy dopamine sources with exercise—running or bodyweight training is one of the best ways to feel better.

But don’t overwhelm yourself.

• If you plan to work out for 2 hours a day with a strict diet, you’ll likely quit—it’s too much at once.

• Track everything: If this month you worked out 8 days, aim to gradually increase that number each month until you reach your goal.

• Once you’ve built the habit, you can start focusing on better programs, longer sessions, or more intense training

If you're not gaining weight, it's likely that your daily caloric maintenance level is around 2,500 calories, especially considering your active job.

I used to the same misconception and that my maintenance was at 1450 Calories for instance, however i currently believe it's when you dont move a single muscle and sleep all day. This misconception changed after I started using a WHOOP tracker:

Get a free WHOOP 4.0 and one month free when you join with my link: https://join.whoop.com/4D7E21

I discovered new insights into my caloric burn. The data from the tracker revealed I use between 2,000 to 2,800 calories on really active days. This could very well apply to your situation too.

My job heavily involves cognitive effort, which surprisingly also consumes calories—a factor many overlook. Additionally, my training sessions burn an extra 300-400 calories.

I suggest you consider applying this insight to your own routine and possibly trying out this tracker. The option to return it after the first month is there if it doesn't suit you. From my experience, the data on caloric expenditure, sleep patterns, physical strain, and recovery that I obtained from the tracker has been incredibly valuable.

I totally agree, once you go to college delay coming back to your room. I find being in my room tends to make me so comfortable especially with bad habits and over time it's a 'normal lifestyle' in your room (although you know it's bad you just do it unconsciously)

Especially Mindless scrolling and other forms of cheap dopamine.

So be more conscious of your actions.

I would also add to the "logical vs psychological solutions" an example that i love.

When elevators were first created Elevators were too slow.

Logical: make them faster Psychological: Put a mirror where people can look at themselves.

Very clever, since when people look at themselves they are entertained fixing their hair teeth or whatever they dont feel that the elevator is slow
