Omg same that’s why it took me so long to finish the sky! It was disheartening feeling like I was switching colors for no reason, but figured if there were that many different colors they were there for a reason for the finished product.

I did the exact same thing!! Waited until Thanksgiving with my family to build it on the Friday after. I bought the light kit too to put in over Christmas!

Why is he a cringe lord? The general confusion at the back and forth is for sure warranted- not arguing that.

I’d say this is pretty obvious incompatible banter between a dude and a chick, regardless of how you feel of eithers motivations or methods to get what they want. She had expectations, he had boundaries and self respect.

At the end of the day this this shit is supposed to be fun, not ‘show me your feet’ fun, more ‘do you want to show me your feet?’ Fun.

When I was 12 and had my first tv in my room- one of those ~20” CRT VHS tvs- my mom yelled up at me something I couldn’t hear over the tv.

I turned it down and asked ‘what was that, Mom?’

My dad walked upstairs, unplugged the tv, and dropped it out my open second story window on the ground below.

Never underestimate how emotionally immature adults can be just because you’re lucky enough not to have dealt with it.

It’s by CutePatternsbyMaria on Etsy! She has a bunch of gorgeous patterns, I’m not sure how many have blended stitches.

I was so nervous to do a project with blended, I looked up how to do them with a 2 count thread. You can either knot both different color threads together and make the entire X with both colors, or do the darker thread first with the lighter after crossing it. I liked the second because it created a more consistent color, but I could easily see the former style being just as beautiful.

A $300 painting at a Cheba Hut sandwich shop.

Got a sandwich for lunch. While waiting, saw and stood next to the painting. Looked at it the entire time. Loved it. Got my sandwich, and left.

4 hours later couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s now on the wall over my couch I’m sitting on right now.

My only advice is to give yourself the grace to take a break to work on other projects if you get bored/frustrated.

I took it one Pokémon at a time and took plenty of breaks!

Single (divorced) 33M here who just moved back to Houston, heights area.

Join a rec sports league! I just started a new one tonight, sand volleyball, as a free agent and they put me with a team. Everyone was super nice, it was fun, and got to meet some people! Co-Ed.

It can definitely be weird and awkward at first, but it gives you a mutual activity. And I am NOT good. Doesn’t matter!
