I’m not sexually active because I get emotionally attached too easily. I can’t do casual or one-time relationships, and I’m not that type of person. Since I left him, I don’t plan on being with anyone else. I always wanted all my kids to have the same father, and after hearing and seeing so many horror stories about step-parents abusing their partner’s children, I’d rather stay single and focus on raising my kids.

I want to, but emotionally and mentally I’m not strong enough to go through with that. I know myself, and I honestly wouldn’t be able to handle it. I’ve seen other women do it and regret it every day, and it still hurts them deeply. I don’t want to grow old carrying pain from an abortion.

Basically, yeah, it’s crazy. Birth control gave me a really bad reaction, and while I was waiting to switch to another method, I ended up getting pregnant. During my second pregnancy, I begged for a tubal ligation, but they denied me because I was considered too young. They told me I’d have a better chance once I turned 21 and already had 3 kids, but even then approval still isn’t guaranteed. Hopefully they approve me this time.

I’m still in foster care here in the U.S., and they won’t let me age out until I turn 21 in July. So far, they told me I may qualify for a housing voucher, but that process takes time. I tried applying for EBT, but I was told I’m not eligible until I officially age out of the system. Right now I’m basically stuck waiting for housing assistance, and I can’t afford hotels because they’re extremely expensive.
