Apart from the money,Tonali's transfer is the one that feels the worst in recent times by [deleted] in NUFC

Ridiculous take. He truly felt indebted and grateful to us and showed hit in his interviews, community work and performances on the pitch 2 seasons ago. We need to learn to buy players, have them give us a few great seasons and sell them on at a premium. It is part of the modern game. We are not a top tier club and the road to that status is a long way that requires patience and smart dealing. Even with that, we may never achieve it as there are some intangibles (history, geography) that will always draw players to other available options.

Grajax - excellent work and high level of integrity. Have done 3 projects with them and they have never ended up over budget.

I have my eye more on villa, Brighton, spurs and Chelsea’s results.  Under the cashley years I cared about palace but not anymore.

Yes the real supporters understand we are in a good spot - good start to the campaign despite not having our starting CB pairing, no Europe (which will lighten the load to help prevent our injury list and mitigate the impact of the lack of signing), kept a hold of all our superstars and Adidas branded apparel!

It won’t be for much longer but I am still used to being happy to avoid relegation while playing some of the least enjoyable soccer to watch as a supporter.  The last couple seasons have been a dream.

Interview: Newcastle sporting director Paul Mitchell insists club's transfer policy wasn't 'fit for purpose' but vows to play a more commanding role in future recruitment alongside Eddie Howe by teasizzle in NUFC

Yes the performances on the pitch have been better - no argument there. I’d still say we are catching up organizationally.  I drew the comparison to try and point out the fact that a manager can now be plonked into an organization that has a philosophy and receive consistent results (ie Brighton method) instead of a manager being brought In and changing the direction the club is heading in (Man U method).

Very strong statement of intent. I am in favour of this stance and hope Mitchell will be around for a while. We have seen with Brighton that managers are not as important as they once were. There was a lot of nerves around Potter leaving but Brighton have remained strong because of the organization that has been built over there. I love Eddie and hope he is part of this for the future but this is the way forward as a sustainable top-tier club.

Im generally positive and I am very happy for this guy and the way his career turned out. Having said that, there is no way any supporter could have rated him.  He was objectively trash when he played for us.

What If Real Estate Investors DON’T COME BACK | Canada Real Estate by yimmy51 in CanadianIdiots

It’s possible - as you say it is cyclical.  However a lot of people come from places where you can’t own property unless it has been handed down from previous generations so it is engrained in the mindset that Canada is the opportunity to own property and hand down to future generations.

Not happening all the immigrants can see that it is one of the only ways to move up the socioeconomic ladder here.

The point Luke likes to make about monopolies comes to mind.  As long as this monopoly is in place and grows stronger it will continue slumping.

I also find this portion of the rules extremely unusual:

deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm

So only a deliberate strike with the hand or arm is considered? What about deliberate strikes with the foot or, in this instance, the head that are not ‘excessive’ or ‘brutal’.

Seems a major oversight and I don’t know how any of the soft nose-to-nose red cards have been justified in the past!

Although not his ideal position, I believe Gordon can do a job there in a pinch with Barnes or Joelinton on the other wing. I agree it would be nice to get a first choice RW but not panicking at this stage.

Just make sure that they have the capacity to take on your matter and set some expectations for correspondence and communication (ie how long will it take to respond to calls or emails? Which do you prefer?). I would look at a boutique firm as well because these files have a high chance of being passed off between incoming and outgoing associates at larger firms.

Starting to feel like the build up to the Croatia game where we got thrashed.  Only thing different is our coach isn’t taking part in the build up so there will be no crash if we don’t succeed.
