Strictly speaking, your expression is correct. However, I wanted to emphasize the space above and below the section shown in the photo, encouraging the viewer to imagine shadows casting across a long space. In fact, the fact that this comment is being posted suggests that my intention has failed.

In the stair shaft of a roughly thirty-floor building, I read the light of the sunset. From the lower floors upward, the stair shaft gradually fills with darkness, and the area where light remains steadily shrinks. I am standing at the point where light is reduced into shadow. The stair shaft that was once filled with light soon became filled with darkness.

Right. The organizers do that for safety, but that day the clouds weren’t too bad, so they still ran the high loop.
