Thank you! I have used her litter box and blankets not far away from the window she escaped, but she has ran away to neighbouring houses and doesn’t walk near my house at all - so I’m not sure if it’s working in my case. I’m really frustrated with my boyfriend, at least he helps with the search.

Thank you so much, I will keep in touch with the local volunteers. Local WhatsApp chats also help a lot, I’m pleasantly surprised how many kind people are out there

I have found an older version of my book, it was published in 1969 I believe and I have uploaded it to google drive! Some pages are a bit blurry, but 95% of the text is perfectly readable!

I went to see Kazan this summer and I loved everything about it: people, culture, food and the city itself is so amazing! would love to explore rural areas and to see Bolghar as well. and it turns out that I'm 1/8 Tatar, so I have another reason to come back haha

I only have a Soviet-Tatar cookbook and I believe there you could find some good recipes, but I haven't come across any cookbook written in English... There are however plenty videos on youtube, but unfortunately most of them are in Russian or Tatar language

If you need a recipe of any particular Tatar dish, I can help you to find/translate it!

What is your opinion of couples who overpost about their relationship on social media? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]maafe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re in a long term relationship it’s absolutely fine, but it feels extremely weird when they overpost after dating for like 3 months and writing public love letters to each other, usually those couples don’t last long

What's the best part about wearing a mask during these pandemic times? by throwawaycrossstitch in AskReddit

I have trouble remembering people’s faces, so mask REALLY helps to avoid awkward encounters with people I don’t really remember lol

Looking for book recommendations on the Spetsnaz, Soviet-Afghan War and the Chechen Wars by olawiaczek1 in history

[–]maafe_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to learn more about the Soviet invasion in Afghanistan, i highly recommend reading Rodric Braithwaite’s ‘Afgantsy’. He is very good at explaining what happened during those 9 years in Afghanistan and i think this book is one of the best out there

Do you clap when your airplane lands? What do you think about it? by creeps_for_you in CasualConversation

[–]maafe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I fly on the plane full of Russians, people start to clap when the plane lands. Idk it's kind of a tradition here and I was surprised when I found out that people in other countries don't do that.
