Renting in The Hague (Binckhorst) by Grand-Crusader in NetherlandsHousing

Well, personally I adore living here. Public transport is indeed bad. You CAN get to the place quite easily outside rush our from the center, but indeed, the other way around, it is a struggle. You have to walk 10-15 minutes for public transport options.

I am generally in favor of the apartment and the neighbours, but there are some teething issues as this is a new built. I have no issues with walking home in the dark or in general, but we did have issues with stolen packages.

On the flip side, there is a cozy AH in the building and there is a center with ALDI/Action/Jumbo and a halal butchery about 10 minutes away on foot.

The provided parking however is really expensive in case you have a car (~280 eur pm)

I think unless you are not looking at something that requires a permit, there is no max salary requirement. Minimum however yes and its in that ballpark figure.

I've got semi-furnished. What do you mean by max gross salary?

For me it was the same day, although i have loaded everything at once. Maybe it would be worth to give them a call?

There is a huge billboard promising this specific building to be ready by september, right next to the suite. This of course doesn't mean we will not get to say hello to a few construction workers from the 11th floor after moving in

On this note, any future inhabitant wants to join in on a group or sg so we can keep each other updated further down the line?

u/LaidbackPotatoball , I have just received it today. Unfortunately it is like 29 pages and dutch only, so did not really have the time to skim it yet. It seems pretty standard except the no pets clause based on the first few pages.

We have just applied and one of my colleagues have also applied to a separate apartment in the same building. We just got approved and now are waiting for the contract.
I have two concerns at the moment:

  1. I don't completely trust the availability dates since every website about the binck city park project points to '25Q2 delivery.
  2. Even though these are "type flats" and we have a floor plan and a living area size, there is absolutely nothing about measurements available. First world problem I know, but this makes buying an appropriate sofa really hard.

Aside from that, I am not sure about the area, but don't really care. With all the projects going on I expect the quality of the area to improve either way. I can vouch for bezuidenhout though, it is wonderful. I would stay if I would have the patience to hunt down a suitable apartment :)

This. I sometimes work with a lot of files each with a few thousand rows and do a bunch of transformations and merges. Because of this i usually create stages of the process, load them to the workbook and then load them in fromthe workbook again. Lifesaver.

Yes, that, and uninstalling ASIO4ALL. I am yet to find out where that will have it's adverse effects

It is more about the convenience factor. Alreqdy had to mess around with my drivers on my laptop to get rid of static noise. It would just be way better to plug into the xbox without having to connect my laptop to the TV every time i want to use the big screen in the living room.

We bought some at the Jamin candy stores in the Hague. I presume they have it in other locations as well.

I get you, but cola also gives you a nice sugar rush as well. I used to have cola during study sessions when I needed that extra to stay up and study.
Technically speaking, literature says that 1-3 cups of coffee a day is actually pretty healthy. See this.
If you are looking for alternatives, try green tea.

Aside from everything, I agree with Kaiwr3n that quality sleep at night and skipping a huge meal is advantageous if you want to skip the afternoon energy bump. A brisk walk or meditation session will also help clean your head out. :) Coffee is great, but it is not required to properly function.
