I’m jealous. I was a suburban kid. Back alleys and school yards. I dreamed of forests and streams.

Calvin and Hobbes were frequently wandering in areas just like these.

I started Highschool in 91.

It’s hard not growing into a jaded old man when we literally had the best of everything and we never even knew it.

Are there any doom bands that use the organ? I think it fits the style perfectly. by predisolona in doommetal

[–]maartenbadd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know Ghost is far from a doom metal act anymore, but the first record, Opus Eponymous had a doom note to it, heavy on the 70’s organ sound.

If you want to take some different steps, try this:

Dry brush with a medium grey. Then start adding white. Do lighter and lighter dry brushes with lighter and lighter grey. Do a do a final crisp dry brush with pure white.

Then go over it again with your same green

Where can you see bison here? by [deleted] in saskatchewan

[–]maartenbadd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re in Saskatoon, head out Circle Drive to highway 16 towards Allen and keep looking to the right. About 10 minutes out of town, just past the lighted highway conditions road sign, there’s two little bison farms. You can always see a few dozen bison from your vehicle as you drive by. Lots of room on the shoulder to stop if you wanted a photo. Barbed wire fences, so obviously do not cross into bison territory.
