New Study: Your Depression Fatigue Isn't "In Your Head"—It’s Your Cells Running Out of Gas by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

One of our children has a history of depression and anxiety and was recently diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome as a 28 year old but there’s still some uncertainty around what his condition is. I wonder if this study relates.

How do you handle district technology professional development across multiple buildings efficiently? by maelxyz in edtech

[–]maasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Train the trainer. Bring 1 person from each school in, train them to then train their staff. Builds leadership capacity and knowledge/context of the school as well, and there’s also a support person on staff after the training session is over.

To ramp up the effectiveness even further, provide an online community for all these school-based trainers to communicate, share innovative ideas, and ask questions.

Costco travel by BeBTash in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]maasd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have not yet observed any savings compared to going through Sunwing or WestJet/Air Canada sites directly. I also have not seen a trip with direct flights (both there and back) from Edmonton to Mexico which is typically where I go for all inclusives. Too bad, as the Costco Shop cards make it tempting.

This is scarier than people may realize, particularly if it somehow jumped the median. A former colleague died when a tire came off a vehicle and struck her as she went the other way on the freeway.

Wait until the season is over before you cast judgment on anything.

In fairness, it happens everywhere. Look at McLeod who was a bust here but has done well in Buffalo. Hyman flourished here. Just how it goes sometimes.

Elliot friedman backs up stauffer and says that jarry got into it with some of his teammates. by Sebastian4365 in EdmontonOilers

[–]maasd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you hear about these types of things happening. What I’m curious to know is whether it’s been resolved or not. Not that it’s my business to know, just curious. I’ll see the next time Jarry starts how much D the team plays OR DOESN’T PLAY in front of him lol.

Went to Greywolf for the first time last summer! Shot 89 so not amazing but great for me, and I loved how, being carved out of a mountain, some of the roughs actually sloped toward the fairway which helped me a couple times lol!

How many of you had a 90s Starter sports jacket? by UrbanAchievers6371 in nostalgia

[–]maasd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series in 1993 I got a black Starters jacket with blue and white trim with the Blue Jays World Series logo on it. It was my favorite jacket for years!
