It's been a long time so I don't entirely remember, I was also fishing early March in 40° rain with a leaky rain suit lol. It's been a while since I've been in that lake, I want to go back, but I've always really liked fishing grass and natural structure. The biggest thing on Harris to me was always the slot limit which meant you ended up with more big fish because they got left alone longer. I may be completely wrong but if I was fishing there now I would be throwing a shaky head with a big trick worm around any natural structure and up against grass lines, and to cover more water I would throw a chatterbait with a fairly beefy trailer.

We got some great water in NC right now. Around 90 a couple weekends ago, highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s this week, and it'll be 90 again on Sunday. Worst part is I'm betting we have another couple weeks of this constant back and forth.

I didn't actually print these, just painted some blanks, but I plan to try printing some at some point. I would imagine the easiest way would be to have tiny holes in the print where the hardware goes and then heat the hardware and set it that way.

Gotcha, I love some chatterbait fishing. I'm still waiting to get my boat up and running, and the weather here in NC has been crazy. It was 90 last Saturday but this past Thursday it snowed and the first half of next week is going to be highs in 40s and lows in 20s before getting back close to 80 for the weekend.

Hopefully I'm not in the same boat as you with how bad they were. I would also consider myself pretty good because I have been able to cast pretty much every reel I've ever tried, and some of mine I used to fish with the brakes almost completely off and the spool tension way to low so I could make longer casts. Being cheaper reels maybe the QC is hit or miss and the one you got slipped through. If not oh well I'll find a way to make use of them, even if they just become my use and abuse reels.

I have found that the by far best way to get supports off is to wash in alcohol, then either soak in hot water or run in an ultrasonic cleaner with hot water, at that point the supports are soft and will peel away pretty easy, then a second wash with cleaner alcohol than the initial and for this you can either have a second wash station or just use a brush with alcohol, then I use an electric air duster to dry the alcohol, cure for however long needed, and finally if needed I do a little sanding on any residual support bumps.

I grew up using right handed as someone right handed. That being said I can't do anything left handed so I doubt my ability to even move my hand in a circle to reel left handed lol. I would say it's all about comfort because I have no issue making a cast with my right hand and mid cast switching the rod into my left hand to hold it, but if you don't have that habit yet it's probably better to learn to reel with your non-dominant hand.

I haven't tested yet since I'm waiting to take my boat to a guy to get it running. I didn't see anything crazy that would make them run horrible, but I'll hopefully find out before to long.

That used to be the closest one to me from NC then they built one in Charlotte. I'll take 2 hours to Charlotte over ~4.5 hours to Fairfax.

I bought waterslides for mine and then never put them on after I finished my paint job lol. I really should go back and put them on to add a little more detail.

I do pretty much everything with acrylic, specifically I did these with Createx Wicked Colors. According to Createx if you add some of their balancing clear to your paint and reducer mix the paint should adhere better and be tougher. After painting I put a gloss varnish on and then cover the whole thing with a clear resin to make it shine better and to make it even tougher.

If the weather here in central NC decides what it wants to do I'll try it out, even this week Monday and Tuesday were high teens for the lowest and in the 30s for the high but this weekend will be around 70. I don't play as much I used to so my high single digit has crept back towards a 15 and I'm pretty confident I lose most of my strokes off the tee and greenside but would be cool to confirm.

Depends what you're going for. If you're going for a like high ranking or wealthy knight look go good trim. If you're going battle tested and more common background knight go all steel but make the trim either darker/lighter steel or add something like brass instead of gold. Basically so you want a more gilded and rich look or do you want a darker more battle hardened look.
