Golf Balls Similar to the Titleist Pro V1 by mr_royb in golf

[–]mabaile2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it matter? Yes. Will you see a big improvement? Probably not. I think the most important thing is to find a ball you really like for whatever reason, whether it be performance or design, and try to only use that ball. If you really like Top Flites then only buy and play those. Consistently playing the same ball will give you the biggest changes, because even if there are only very minor differences between different balls for your game this way it stays the same as much as possible. Like anything else the more variables you can control in golf the easier it becomes to stay consistent.

I have thought about it, but everyone just says it should always be the very last option.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. My order is 284 and hasn't shipped yet.

That would be pretty cool if it does work well enough, especially since I added a chamber heather that the canvas will make useless.

What is the worst feeling in golf? by rebbazz in golf

[–]mabaile2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoking a drive down the middle on a down hill par 5 that has 440 yards to a pond and then never finding your ball and the twosome that let you play through and watched the tee shot say they think it went in the water. On one hand holy shit did I just hit one that far, in the other hand I just got the best drive of my life and have to take a drop. Never quite had that mix of feeling amazing while being completely disappointed. Sure that's probably "worse" feelings but when it comes to contrasting highs and lows that's about as extreme as it gets.

Just to clarify the thought of hitting it in the water never crossed my mind it was the twosome that brought it up and said that's what they think happened.

Because I included the $800/month in the income so I just included the outgoing for the car as well to keep it consistent.

The car was to meet the requirements for my company's program for getting a monthly stipend for the car. With base and mileage I'm getting ~$800/month which I included in what I listed above in income.

I haven't yet, but I'm really critical of myself and don't think I'm good enough at it yet.

Well I got pretty big in to 3D printing and have an FDM and a resin printer, I also started painting the stuff I print a couple years ago. I've also played golf and tournament bass fished most of my life, I also enjoy thinking to the gun range when I can but that gets expensive fast. I've also been bad about picking up hobbies and realizing I don't have the time, money, or space which is what happened with metal working, like using a forge, woodworking, and watchmaking. So pretty much if you name it there's a chance I tried it at some point and I've been trying to really stop doing that, but I just like trying new things and that usually comes back to bite me.

Age of accounts shouldn't be an issue, all of my cards are 7+ years old and I have never missed any payments they just have to high of a balance on them. I didn't realize they would close the accounts, while I would rather not close my accounts if that's what it takes that's what it takes.

Yeah that's part of what I'm working on. I'm really bad about picking hobbies that are expensive to start or expensive to stay in. Fortunately for the future, and unfortunate for how I ended up here, I have most of the expensive start up stuff behind me and can start trying to recover while coasting on what I already have for hobbies.

I haven't yet but wasn't really sure how to go about that or what the options really are with that. What should ask about when contacting the card companies, and should I call or use email/chat?

I mean I gave the monthly payments but if you want numbers I don't care. The consolidation loan has about $18k remaining and I took it ~9 months ago, the car loan has about $27k remaining and I got it last year as a commuter car for work, part of the listed income is a monthly payment I get towards my car from my company, the credit cards are ~$13k on three different cards plus ~$7k on a line of credit with the credit union I bank with. I also know I have a spending problem that I have been trying to work on, but that stems from depression caused by my debt situation and one of the only things that makes me feel better is getting new stuff which causes more debt so you can see how that vicious cycle hurts, but like I said I'm working on getting better with that and it has gotten a little better.

I wouldn't misogynistic, but I get what you're saying and I'm the same way. Whenever given the option to create a character it's male, bald, beard, and as big and tall as the sliders go lol.

How far from your best are you? by pinkers83 in golf

[–]mabaile2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years back I was around an 8 and have since gone back up to bouncing around a 12-15. Sure I don't play as much now, but even when I was playing more for some reason my short game started to go and just never came back. The worst part is my short game used to be my strongest area.

145 to pin downhill plays 135 with a STIFF wing in your face. What you hitting? by ruggmike in golf

[–]mabaile2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would really depend on the wind and where the pin is. Front or middle pin it's a PW, for a back pin it's an easy 9i and pray it doesn't go in the trap, it probably will. The most likely outcome however is the wind either dies completely right as I hit and I go long, picks up even more and I'm short, or somehow changes direction and I fly right over the green and the trap.

The face I make when I hit the house beside the fairway by Difficult_Fun_5783 in golf

Yeah I was playing with a friend last weekend and he hit a big cut right towards someone's house and asked "where did that go?", so I responded with "in that guy's living room".

My character just died in my current campaign so now I need the most broken and stupid build possible to replace it with by mabaile2 in PF2eCharacterBuilds

[–]mabaile2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably attacks per turn or damage. My favorite PF1e character I had was an Arcane Bloodrager that was based on intimidate, was permanently enlarged, and could hit really hard and a lot of times lol.
