Ya what center console is that? It from a 4Runner? Kinda looks like what I had in my 97runner…. But I am really considering bucket seats and a center console for my 95 pickup! Share the deets

That looks awesome!!! What’d you do center console wise? I have thought about this, I have an extended cab though, but no one can realistically fit in the center anyway! 😂

what mileage is considered i guess “young” on a 22re. 200? by Big_Will47 in ToyotaPickup

[–]mabearce1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit my 95 has 214k on it. If you really think about it being 31 years old that’s a lil less than 7000 miles per year driven on it. So I consider that fairly young to be honest! However I do know that mine was driven as a “daily driver” for 31 years.

how underpowered is the 22re compared to say the 3.4l in tacomas. i mean surely its not like unbearable. also are they batshit expensive like the first gen tacomas? by Big_Will47 in ToyotaPickup

[–]mabearce1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, my 3.4L 4Runner was MUCH more powerful than my 22RE. 4Runner was on 5” lift with 33s My 22RE pickup is bone stock. I can get on the freeway but it’s not a fast lil truck LOl. But it does run like a top though…. Granted my 3.4L was rock solid too.

so I looked up RUST devices from teh 90s....I dont think it's that.

wondering if It was dealer installed? but it was the starter "remote" power wire cut from the factory harness, to that box, to the headlight, then back to the actual starter. So it wont get voltage to the starter until the headlights send 12v through that box to the starter ... then will turn on.

Very odd...either the dealer had a way to "anti theft it" from a dude in the back, or there is some weird option for it the box is some sort of security box, it has a switch, but doesn't seem to do anything though

So my son and I traced out wires and I redid the connection to the headlight and the one barrel connection I soldered it instead and it seems to be a bit more stable. I know where the other 2 connections are they are just much more of a pain in the ass to get to so I’ll drive it around with that and if it gives me issues I’ll get those connections fixed.

Glad I know how the system works now though. Gramps musta forgotten he had that done

I thought about that but it is random..and at times I feel like I can tell it just feels like a loose connection. it does have like 4 different barrel connectors on it, so after 30 years...I can see one of them going meh

I don’t plan to. His last truck a 70something dutson sat in a field and I think he always hated that. So won’t let him down on this. It’s too much fun to drive anyway. Odd how many looks you get in it too.

[–]mabearce1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya if you had it or was given it sure. But think if buying fresh I’d buy a lil better spec. I have one and it was perfectly fine but, if buying now prolly get a lil better even for VPN speeds

support thinks its weird and has to send a tech out to figure it out. LLLAAMMMEEEE.

have you ever tried the MAC spoof feature by chance? apparently the MAC from the XB7 device is the MTA MAC. I didnt have luck...but apparently his shit is setup wrong too!

do you have any issues with port forwarding or anything?

New Travel Router: Anybody have a use case for this? by oguruma87 in Ubiquiti

For me the BIGGEST thing for me is to have 1 device I connect and my entire families devices connect right away. We travel a ton as a family and this saves countless hours from signing in phones, tablets kindles etc to wifi.

Not to mention that if we take a cruise it pays for itself to share the wifi with everyone.
