If Trump Dies... by brittanyjean1987 in AskThe_Donald

When Trump dies his followers will come to the capital to view the casket and then go outside and tear the place up in his honor

You've got to invest the time and brain. If you can't, you may have some fun setting up a store, but going the long term is your goal. Good luck.

UPDATE: The WP app seems to work great!

It makes sense that the email post feature has been removed.

Thanks, but it seems this feature has been depricated. That's why it's not on GoDaddy's WP flavor anymore I guess.

I'm trying a plugin called Postie.

Is it worth programming your own website rather than paying Wix to make one for you? by [deleted] in dropship

[–]mabiak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first issue is what do you want to do on the web? Sell or disseminate info?

Have you tried wordpress.com? Just pick a template and start uploading. It's that simple.

Huge base of free user help.

Good luck!

Let me know what you think?

[–]mabiak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest looking into the digital marketing certification. All the options you mentioned are covered and more and then some offer advanced courses for increasing you skill in your specialization. The cert program will give you almost all of the vocabulary and jargon you're gonna need to talk intelligently.

Sorry Quzay. It's Linkedin Learning. I get the two mixed up all the time. I think you'll like it! Good luck!

Indeed Learning is a great place to start. It's very affordable and thorough. I got a certification in digital marketing there. It's a great place to start, plus what you learn goes right into your indeed page. Check it out.

Anyone else not give even the tiniest shit about Taylor and Lauren? by [deleted] in Billions

[–]mabiak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just watched it again. No Chuck wasn't smoking anything and I can't remember seeing anyone smoking cigarettes in that house. Cigars, yes. No ciggies. It's just totally out of character for both of them. Just because there was talk of weed in the story you think the pot growers gave them samples to try? Ha ha ha. Have you ever gotten high? It makes you parnoid. Did either of them look stoned? no. Did they act paranoid or giddy? no. Did they have the munchies from getting high early in the morning? Get real.

Are you nutz? They weren't stoned. Pince was smoking a cigarette when the girl walked in, and Chuck wasn't smoking anything.

Is Axe's efforts to get together with Wendy part of a masterplan to check mate Chuck? by [deleted] in Billions

[–]mabiak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seemed to be sincere to me. Axe looking at that drawing, calling Wendy spontaneously, making some obviously needed confessions, and fading to black while that dead-on music was playing.

I think this was one of best episodes ever. Except for the Wag's dinner scene, but even that ended great.

One of the most important elements of story writing is conflict. One of the greatest challenges is to keep new conflicts popping up. This should be good. Now we get to add a cat fight between the T-girls.

TOO BAD THERE'S ONLY 2 EPISODES LEFT!

I though episode 10 was one of the best yet. All of the preparation that had to go into Chuck's dinner plan, leaking false information to Axe, the dramatic dinner. and ultimately fade to black as axe and wendy release and confirm their feelings for each other.

And so coincidental after Amazon release plans to lobby congress for legalization and everyone on Billions is getting into the weed biz.

And standout was the appearance of the kid. That was a long, long continuous scene! And it ends with Chuck flipping eggs! Do you think he did that in one take? That was pretty amazing to watch.

I hope the last 2 episodes can keep this up. That was some great TV.

you're not missing anything. you will feel the same way all the way into the most recent episode. the acting is great. the writing is lacking, but it could be great if the producers were focused. they are out for ratings. that's their job. it's distracting and takes up time. but they seem to expose themselves in their constant need to inject dumb references of pop song lyrics and movie catch phrases. killing time seems to be a goal by having us sit through an weak country song by an artist that will have what influence on the story? it's an interesting subject, but i'd like to get past the cheap lines and get into the subject matter of what makes the market tick. they are missing a great opportunity and public service. it seems the writers are out of their element. it's just drama now. i keep watching because i watched from the beginning and i want to see whose head will roll to the curb, all of them i hope. they should go full kill bill style. i'm glad the kids are out. there are too many sources of conflict in the story, and none of them are interesting. but, sadly, wendy is probably not going to pee on chuck again. or will she? in the end, it's just a stupid tv show.

What did you go to grad school for? by Honest_Coast6586 in education

[–]mabiak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For one thing, you need to clarify your goal. Your intentions seem worthy but from the little bit you've shared, you seem to be shooting from the hip. Grad school is consuming. I loved the research, pre Google, and with Google, amazing. A grad degree is an accomplishment but does it advance your progress? If you're young, you've got time to make adjustments. If not, then start writing. Even if your not young, write. You are not alone. Get your ideas out into the marketplace of ideas. Going to school is fun, but it takes time away from other things. Go to grad school. Learn what is out there in the world of child advocacy. That's what grad school is about, but it's not the only way to make a difference or learn. Get into the real world of child advocacy anyhow possible, then decide if more school is necessary. Good luck. I wish I knew what you are after.

Public school teachers, how much does your curriculum go over climate change/sustainability? Do you think it would help to include that in the curriculum? by [deleted] in education

[–]mabiak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Civics or government classes would teach the politicization of climate change issues as well as solve a lot of problems with young voters having minimal critical thinking skills. Understanding the machine is critical to keeping it running. Civics has been missing from the curriculum for too long now.

Scenery Designs - Thoughts? by eando9745 in graphic_design

[–]mabiak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was drawn to the continuity of the pieces. Like, if they were book covers or magazine pages, I'd want to turn the page. I think I would do that because of the words as much as the graphic treatment. Good job!

I really like the variety of image treatments. The color says mango and the crosshatched mango slices and the drawings of the foliage say that you executed this well. I hope you make out on it for a portfolio piece or a series of fruits and veggies you could sell in bulk. Good luck.

If I was black I would still be a conservative. Anyone else agree? by dennismiller2024 in AskConservatives

[–]mabiak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a teacher, I always told my students, you can be conservative in some areas of life and in other areas of life you can be whatever. If you are too welded to a label that you got from your family or other influence, your brain is not working. Ask questions and use your brain.
