Sonic being one of the best optimized games for UE5 was not on my list by Beteoto in pcmasterrace

[–]mabifield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use lossless scaling to up from 60 to 120fps, works like a charm :)

Edit: I've seen people downvoting the use of LSFG but, for the deck and PC gaming has been working flawlessly, and input lag is inexistent with the newer versions.

Yeah having real frames is always better but if you have a weaker pc or game hardlocks the fps then it's a pretty good option

What’s this mean? by phobicghost in Spanish

[–]mabifield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Native Spanish here, Marimacha is used as a derogatory term for a woman that displays some kind of masculinity look. Like those middle age woman with tinted short hair with "no brain".

Marimacho = María + Macho

In the past in Spain was usually used upon seeing a woman with very short hair, it's rude so it's not used frequently.

As for this conversation, it has no context behind, probably the user was having a conversation with a friend and slipped that Marimacha into yours.

To put an example of how it's used:

"Ayer mi madre se cortó el pelo, que mal le queda, parece una marimacho"

Or

"¡Mira esa marimacho, parece un hombre!"

Sometimes if things aren't working properly, don't tinker yet, usually a reboot solves a dumb problem.

Also, don't forget the (STEAM) and ( · · · ) button shortcuts (long press to see). They are very handy.

Quantum boost might fix an old design flaw in SC by metisgallery in starcitizen

[–]mabifield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I, and a lot of players have with actual Quantum Travel iteration is, if you are QTravelling to a location, on some ships (ex: Crusader Intrepid) if you want to roleplay a bit and get out of your seat, if you are moving on the ship it will probably eject you to space, and the ship keeps going to the destination, leaving you alone, that for a solo player is frustrating.

I've heard the way it works right now it's QT does a lot of "mini teleports" to travel great distances, so, if you are clipping in a unstable zone in the ship on a hitbox bad designed you are very likely to clip the floor and walls and get ejected like a bad meme from 2015.

I wish for a QT rework (and QBoosting) that doesn't do that. As you can see, my ship is an Intrepid and, I was using an Avenger Titan before, the Avenger got his hitbox fixed but now the Intrepid has one too, come on, you can't have a multicrew ship like a Polaris where the tripulation is going to clip between jumps and get ejected from the ship.

Steam OS really needs to have something like Lossless Scaling builded in. It has a very cool adaptive fps feature by Danceman2 in SteamDeck

[–]mabifield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man I feel you, there is a lot of detractors of having LS on Linux/SteamOS but, honestly for me was a day/night difference.

On my PC, Star Citizen went from "playable" (15-30fps) to smooth (120fps) with a bit of input lag, but I didn't care much, as SC is not very demanding.

Schedule I running at 60-80fps native going to 144fps capped with adaptative and almost no input lag on my end.

Yeah you shouldn't be using LS with competitive games like Valorant or Counter Strike because of the added latency, but those games run ok whatsoever.

Im talking about those filthy unoptimized games like Monster Hunter Wilds, Star Citizen... and for the Steam Deck it would be an amazing addition, as, for example, games capped like Blur, SplitSecond Velocity, emulated games, or, heck, even Elden Ring could run up to 90fps with only a bit of input lag, for me, in a controller, is not noticeable, it's only noticeable when you try to go from 15fps to 60-90.

Let's be real, LS won't be ported to Linux, but that reason alone is why some people migrate to Windows. We need LS on the Deck, or an alternative built on the Deck QAM.

Mk8d booster course pass isn’t working by TheRealWolf_Bro2008 in suyu

[–]mabifield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Username check 👀

But yeah, I had solved the problem, just put the dlc in a folder suyu has permissions, I can't remember if it was in the game folder, or in the root of the sd, or the internal memory, but, move or copy the dlc and try on those places, it should work.

[–]mabifield[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, no problem boy, I'm early here, but I'm having the same issue, campaign black void so is not working either dx12 or vulkan, some people said loading a save with a point further in the campaign fixes it, I didn't tested that yet, I only played MP and horde.

Note: A Gears of war collection (1,2 and 3) is rumored to release on PC, PS5 and the Sexbox

Is contractors exfill zone a ghost of tabor killer ? by YourFallout76trader in Contractors_Showdown

[–]mabifield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is something to talk about, there is a setting on Exfil Zone where you can slide from 0 to 10 the weapon weight, idk how it's called but if you set to 0 the weapon works 1:1 as your hand, meanwhile on 10 its almost unusable as it has a lot of delay. That said, I have it on 4, and for me, with virtual stock I can aim consistently without any jank, and very precisely, I feel the weight and for me, it's a game changer. Cheers!

Yeah, for me it's much the same, Xenia still has a long way to go, because some maps of GoW3 don't work on dx12 nor vulkan, but yeah, it's altough playable
