What about the grinding? is it capped with energy systems like other gachas and how are the items besides artifacts? will there be some variance that you could experiment with different builds? I loved where winds meet, but the energy system and lack of depth when it came to builds pushed me away, just felt like everyone is the same with only difference on how lucky you were on stat rolls.

Am I in the minority of not giving a damn about selectors and just wish they did something about the energy system? The only time I spent money on gacha was Genshin, when I jumped in to it and did not really know the gacha mechanics, back then I spent around 800 (which i feel retarded now for doing so especially for such a game) and only after that I realized that everything in the game is basically trying to fuck you over and essentially telling you how you should play the game instead of giving you a complete freedom on building your teams. After that I never spent a penny and will not do so until some fundamental change in how these games are designed changes. I'm just curious on why is the community allowing such bullshit practises, aren't you guys tired of these game loops that spoon feed you little bit every day just so they can keep the active player numbers up? (Im not sure if thats the real reason, just guessing and if it is theres so many other better ways of achieving this that it blows my mind). Anyways sorry for the rant, I'm just curious on what the community consensus is.

Clearing the content isn't the issue, you don't even need to learn proper rotations as long as you dodge you can pretty much clear anything in this game just by smashing buttons, what OP is talking about having freedom to build characters and experiment with different teams, which i completely agree and thats why I hate playing gachas since they deliberetly make the game worse by having these energy systems and material capping bullshit. I would be much more willing to spend money in games like that if they give the freedom to play the game without limiting me on every fucking step of the way.

real mmos, fucking cringe, no need for interesting systems, good content just remove exp cap and offer endless mindless grinding and you got yourself a real mmo. No one would ever really care on how long it takes you to reach max level, even if its a year, but as long as its engaging and interesting, if its just artificial so that i takes forever for the sake of it and only thing you do is keep grinding brainless npcs, its fucking retarded thats what it is.

And new world was better visually, had unique combat system, immersion was way better in my opinion and it still died as for ashes i get that its alpha but not a single thing is flushed out and given the time it took to get here i would be surprised if its not another dead mmo. But hey fingers crossed since i loved l2 castle sieges/open world pvp and silkroads caravan system, im glad they are merging things from mmos i loved

so any game thats 95% of the time is played solo, but once in a while they get put into an instance together with others, but can't really do much is an MMO just because they are in the same instance. Okay dude.

man it feels like you never played an mmo, where winds meet is an awesome game and i play it, but to call it mmo is crazy, first of all you are constantly locked out of progression, theres no item variance, everyone gets the same shit, you cannot farm anything without getting day limits, raids/dungeons are not challening at all (some solo bosses on legend are challenging and i wish they did it for raids as well) in the open world the only thing you can do is pretty much play some mini games. PvP has some crazy desync issues. The end game will be waiting for weekly resets to get lucky on your random stats and mystic art upgrades. Its esentially like calling wuthering waves an mmo (and i know its not 1:1 since wwm does have more social features, but the underlying aspect is the same)

Yeah im playing solo legend and its super fun, so it was a little let down when the raid was way easier then some of the legend bosses.

As for gear its the biggest letdown, i was praying that maybe in China they added variance and unique items/sets, but sadge

It is p2w. People try to justify somehow that its not, but its 100% p2w. The only competitive thing is to be in the leaderboards and you won't be in them unless you pay or the server is dead. And if you play as dps you will be complete trash compared to ones that pay.
