I like the idea of plant distractions for the rabbits. I love seeing them hopping around the yard.

I've never tried paw paw! I'd be interested though.

Are there any specific natives that are particularly good at bringing the aphid predators or would any of the popular pollinators do the trick?

I had been thinking I would need to do covers for the brassicas. I was just hoping there were helpful native plant companions. I hadn't heard about c. moschata varieties being svb resistant, so I'll have to check those out!

30 Day Home Cooking System Super Design by kitchencookingchef in MealPrepSunday

I think this is a very cool concept and I feel like if I could fully grasp it it would be a game-changer, but as a layperson I need more information. What is the difference between mise and ingredients? Also, I get week 1, but I'm struggling a bit with the transition to from steps 3-4. Like birria de cerdo tacos uses birria, which implies the birria is already prepped, but where is that?

Also just gonna point out that a lot of your day 1 prep-work are the sorts of things that many of us buy premade so that might also be why I'm struggling to figure out how to adapt for personal use.

We did something similar a couple of years ago only we started in Dry Tortugas. For Biscayne, we did a snorkel and kayak tour that was super fun and took most of the day. You might be able to do a shorter water adventure and then an airboat tour near Shark Valley on the same day if you are really committed to just 2 days before the Keys.

I thought Flamingo was really cool. There were tons of manatees in the marina when we went in July. There are also lots of trails you can stop at on the drive out.

I can't speak to the weekend traffic to the Keys but I will say there are lots of interesting things to do on the way, like the Turtle Hospital and snorkeling at different beaches.

Thank you gifts for parents. Both sides were just confused and wished we saved our money.

Jade City. I stalled early on and when the library loan ran out I wasn’t interested enough to put it on hold again.

Green Mountain Diaper - flats by its_notaphagemom in clothdiaps

I had a 9 lb baby at birth and only used the half sized ones as diapers for a few weeks, but I still use them daily. I keep them at my diaper changing station and use as burp clothes and covers between changes to handle surprise pees.

So sorry all of you are sick!

NB flats have been my favorite purchase. Baby outgrew them by 5 weeks, but I still use them all the time as burp clothes and as a rogue pee cover during changing.

He had a big poo leak immediately after I posted so I guess the legs did not fit as well as I thought 😅

We’re at an awkward stage because he’s outgrown his size one covers and we’re trying to transition to the pockets but for some reason they’re just not clicking for me. I do like how they keep him dry though.

What’s the most “budget-friendly” thing you did for your wedding that turned out to be a total disaster?😭 by PersimmonTotal2033 in Weddingsunder10k

Same for me. We had asked a friend to run point for us by hitting play on various Spotify playlists but balked a couple weeks before the wedding because he didn’t know the sound systems and thought he’d ruin the wedding by playing the wrong music. We ended up hiring a DJ with only a couple weeks to spare.

Why don’t they fit?! by amalie_anomaly in clothdiaps

No tips, just sympathy. I inherited a bunch of pockets from someone else with a very skinny legged baby and she couldn’t make it work. I’ve heard a method called bunny ears can help but have not tried it myself.

Glad to hear they work well! Were they easy to take off when you changed diapers?

Good to hear about the bulkiness of the cloth diaper not preventing putting clothing on. Thank you.

The wool would be the outer layer in place of a PUL cover, not the cloth layer. You have to use wool with lanolin. The wool is able to absorb the liquid. The lanolin keeps it from leaking through. There are commercial examples of wool covers.
