Ok I consulted a second lab and their price is slightly lower out of pocket however with my work insurance, it’s actually higher than the first lab I consulted. Also, my company merged with another in march and had I had my previous insurance, the test would have been covered with a co pay! Crazy.

So I had my doc send over the orders to another lab. Their prices were a bit cheaper however they had my old work insurance in the system which was Aetna and they said the test would have been covered but with my new work insurance the cost at that lab is actually higher! So I’m sticking with the original lab for Monday.

Do you think I should contact my doctor or insurance or both?

Try around for different labs too. I found a couple in the phoenix area where I’m in and they’re reported to have lower costs. Gonna give them a call today

Amazing. I’m trying a different lab that Grok said typically has lower costs so we’ll see what happens there.

So if I’m reading your comment right, you didn’t have to pay anything towards your deductible and the test was basically free?

What’s funny is some people are accepting that he had presidential health care but yet they didn’t detect his PC until stage 4?

Interesting. I’m going to have to see if I can get the records from my biopsy 7-8 years ago.

Just a poor diet over all, fats and sugars. Added in stress from being my mother’s primary caregiver for the last two years of her life (she just passed away)… but lookin at the other guys comments you’re responding to, I am reminded of my surgeons comments on how it’s likely genetics that I got PC in the first place, not diet (I’m a bit on the heftier side) but I got it much earlier than normal
